Take a road trip through the wheat fields of Douglas County to the county seat in Waterville. There you will find the Blue Rooster (only open two mornings a week) and you can have hand made coffee drinks and pastries hand made by the owners. Great place to look at antiques and just chew the fat. We tried the special... More

We were passing through this small town and had a craving for coffee. When I saw the small A-board sign with the name "Blue Rooster", I knew I had to stop. A great decision as it turns out. French press coffee ( or try the "aero-system") and maple bars with home made frosting put smiles on our faces. The owners... More

We love the Blue Rooster for many reasons. Bruce and Cathy are great host that make everyone feel welcome, it is clean, cosy, and fun. This year they are displaying more local art and crafts so if you are looking for gifts this is a good place to visit. Don't just grab a cup of coffee and go. Take time... More

Scones are delivered fresh to the hotel where we were staying - what an excellent morning treat. Friends went to the store and had a very poor experience with a latte maker. but again - you can;t always find a great scone esp. in a small town.

We dropped in just before closing time for a breakfast panini and coffee. The press coffee is fantastic - and we got the last maple bar!!! The panini are made on homemade bread, with good egg, ham, and cheese. The best part was the eclectic displays of arts and crafts - all for sale - and the lively conversation. Make... More

Stopped in Waterville on my way back from Spokane and decided to try here for a Mocha and a light bite after reading the reviews. Don't know about their food as they were all out when I stopped (it was late afternoon and there was some sort of festival underway in the park) but their Mocha was the worst I've... More

We at the Blue Rooster apologize for not having espresso. Frankly, we were more than a little surprised that not having espresso, something we do not advertise nor promote as available, could be cause for a bad TripAdvisor review. This reviewer is incorrect, however, in saying that we have drip coffee. We do not. Perhaps if he’d realized this he... More

Don't miss the Blue Rooster if you're in Waterville-wonderful cafe. Best maple bars ever!! Really charming place in one of Washington State's best small towns. Not to be overlooked, driven by or missed.

Since I knew I was coming to Waterville for a solo 2013 Memorial Day weekend, I checked out the eateries there, and that's how I discovered the Blue Rooster. I highly recommend you visit the website and watch the entertaining video of how Bruce and Cathy found their way to Waterville. Bruce's breakfast panini is worthy of the praise that... More

If ever over near Waterville, in North Central Washington, stop on in, say hi and experience old fashioned hospitality at its best. Not to mention fresh quality food/bakery items and quirky interior. If you are lucky, Max with grace you with an appearance. Wenda V

The Blue Rooster is a favorite of ours and we make it a habit to stop in a couple of times a week for a delicious cup of French press coffee or latte and a good visit. The maple bars, my favorite, are to die for. If you want a bit more to eat try their delicious panini sandwich --... More
