I don't find the dinner service at El Gaucho to be anything special. The food is good, but way overpriced. Service is ok, but nothing special. Cocktails are good (not great) and might be handcrafted (?), but overpriced. I've been there for a meeting with...More

We celebrated a friend's birthday at El Gaucho. The food as always was outstanding. The service was slow but efficient. All in all a very good place to have a great meal.

Labeled “Date Night” as it is on the expensive side when going out to eat. It is a la carte, so you will pay extra for salad, potatoes, and other sides. Also, a 20% service charge is addded to each check. This is for employee...More

After way too many years, finally had my first trip to El Gaucho. The ambiance was great. Wait staff so attentive, it gets to be a bit irriating. It seemed like EVERY 5 minutes someone was asking about our experience. We were there celebrating our...More

I find the renovation of what is essentially a basement very well done. This is a high priced restaurant. But the food is very well worth the price paid.

We make a habit of eating here three to four times a year. We have done this for years. For business I’ve even worked with the restaurant to provide dinner (and the entire restaurant) to over 100 people for an evening. We may have made...More

This is a great place to get a great steak. I recommend the chateau briand for 2. It includes 20 oz tenderloin, 2 baked potatoes, crimini mushrooms and asparagus spears.

Sure there are about 15 seats at the bar and you are welcome to eat there anytime. Outside of happy hour you will have to pay regular price for food and drink. Full menu is available.

Sorry, no dancing at El Gaucho. They have live piano music that plays in the bar, though.
