It was tough to get a table on a Friday night, and now I know why! The location is right in the middle of a emerging destination neighborhood in Tacoma, where great restaurants have found synergy in gathering together. Warm and inviting, the staff is...More

Wonderful atmosphere. Good food. Met friends there with the kids in tow and it was great. Unique dishes full of flavor. The dessert was good as well. Not a very big place so a reservation is recommended.

Although this restaurant has been here for a while, we initially found it incredibly noisy and didn’t want to come back because we simply couldn’t carry on any conversation. But as a Birthday dinner for my husband figuring he might want meat, I made early...More

This small restaurant has an excellent wait staff and incredible food. We ordered the dinner for four - it just kept coming!! Guests are first served appetizers - amazingly flavorful. Then the main course: two kinds of beef, cooked to perfection; polenta, purple potatoes, lentils,...More

We were there for our 20th anniversary, with reservations on a Sunday night. You'd think the place would be slow. Nope. It was fairly well filled. Don't expect a speedy service. This is a nice sit down and enjoy yourself kind of place. Sit, talk,...More

I love Asado for its great happy hour and Argentinian fare. If you love red meat, you'll love this place. Good seafood choices as well.

Was outstanding food and even the drinks are special. The Argetinian component added with premium ingredients makes for a flavorful experience!

We recently visited Tacoma for the first time. We sought out best steak houses and were so surprised to find Argentinian cuisine in Tacoma! We’re from Miami and are very familiar with Argentinian food. Although there was a hint of Mexican, it is pretty authentic...More

I found Asado in Tacoma to be very loud, so it was not a pleasant atmosphere for me. Our 4 person table was wedged next to another 4 person table making it a tight, uncomfortable sitting. This coupled with the ok food has me rating...More

Check out their menu on-line. I’m pretty sure you ask them to not serve or substitute anything that may have gluten. Lots of meat, poultry and veggie options

Hi Susan from Poulsbo Go check their menus on the website. Lunch is a great option for tasting many of the dishes, without paying the higher prices and it is just as lovely during the day. Good luck

Sizzle and smoke define Asado Cucina Argentina, the South Sound's only Argentine-themed steakhouse and a staple restaurant of the trendy Sixth Avenue dining district. Heady smoke wafts from the display kitchen where chefs sear beef over a mesquite grill. Low lighting is moody by night, bright and beautiful by day because of the expansive garage doors that roll up in the summertime, spilling diners onto Sixth Avenue. A mural evokes pastoral Argentina. Metalwork and heavy doses of deep-hued wood create a rustic urban palette. Social by design, with a large chef's table straddling the display kitchen. Bench booth seating connects diners to neighbors, but without being overly intrusive. The word "asado" means a gathering of friends for a grill party - the Argentine equivalent of an American patio barbecue - and that theme translates into a convivial gathering spot for friends and family. A steakhouse with a flavor-forward menu with preparations licked with smoke and sophistication.
