This place has the BEST clam chowder in the area! I always try clam chowder when I am in the Pacific Northwest and this is the best I have ever had. The place is just a food court but the service and quality of food is exceptional. Willie was our waiter and was a pleasure to talk to.

The food is fresh and tastes great. It looks like they bread their own fish. The portions are large and I was always surprised to get one extra piece of fish every time I went. When I finally asked why I was getting extra fish, they explained that when the fillets are small, they add a piece! Their service is... More

This fish and chips stand is located inside of Freight House Square in Tacoma near the Tacoma Dome. The seating is cafeteria style and very casual. I had never tried this place until today - I had a piece of cod and a grilled chicken caesar salad. The fish was super fresh and lightly breaded so it was not greasy... More

Not bad but bad location tables in food court. OK for work lunch, eat and run. I wouldn't go again. $$$$ for fish and chips.

Super wonderful food and employees!!! Treat you like you are a special friend. Located in a great spot. Eat than shop. The food is to dye for. Meatloaf is super yummy and the piece is enough for 3 people to have a heaping piece!!!!!

This is probably the best fish & chips I have had in my 57 years on this planet. The cod is hand breaded on site and I thought it was perfect. Not too much breaking like some pub house fish. The chips are awesome and the presentation is really lovely. Not what you expect from a little hole-in the wall... More

We were tantalized by the look of the fish and chips when we were racing past last night and so tonight we paid a visit to Paya Thai. I had the freshest, biggest Caesar salad ever and hubby said the chowder was the best he ever ate. We loved our meal and the super sweet friendly service! Highly recommended for... More

This place is an institution at Freighthouse. I have had most everything on the menu and all is good. Nothing is really outstanding but certainly good! They obviously use clean oil and take care in preparation. I will eat there again and recommend you try it as well.

They said the cod was fresh today, and maybe it was. I had the fish and chips. The cod was tasty, but it was all breading, and not much fish. No comparison to fish and chips in England. The price was reasonable, the atmosphere eclectic, but I would have liked to have paid a bit more and gotten more fish,... More
