A perfectly acceptable local breakfast and lunch restaurant - with the added charm of being the living display space for the Steilacoom Historical Society, all inside of a preserved general store in the heart of town. Standard fare on the menu. Service usually very attentive. Right in the middle of this small city, within 2 blocks of the waterfront and... More

take a step back into time. this small town prides itself on being the first. they also live up to that time. a picture perfect little town, nestled in the middle of a sprawling oasis of an urban Washington. This little drug store is absolutely steeped in history. their food is spot on. service, could use some polishing however; slowly... More

Don't go here if you are looking for prompt, speedy service. This place is to be enjoyed without rushing. Just sit and enjoy this local treasure, make your own soda and simply enjoy the well prepared food.

Everything is homemade. I had the largest Monte Cristo sandwiches I have ever seen. The bread was homemade and cooked to perfection. The biscuits and sausage gravy are homemade and served in large bowls with 2 eggs and home style potatoes. The staff was very polite. The place is a historical museum from the late 1800's. Everything was very clean.

Saturday morning breakfast. The restaurant was about half filled. The wait staff was friendly but we soon learned it wasn't sincere. No coffee refills (we went to the counter to serve ourselves.) One employee was having breakfast while patrons were waiting. We waited almost 30 minutes on our food and found our food had been waiting on us, on the... More

Such a cute spot! Memorabilia from past incarnations as a hardware store, a pharmacy, and a post office. The menu is good, and the kitchen usually does a decent job, but service is very "hit or miss." On good days, it is friendly, prompt, and professional. On bad days, your juice never arrives, you are brought cold coffee, and your... More

Had a mimosa and Gary's breakfast. Food was great, service friendly and I love the atmosphere. They were busy so we sat at the bar. Comfy bar stools!

Awesome! Eat here every time we visit. Love the short stack pancakes and Root Bear float. The location is perfect. It overlooks the water and the building and old timey artifacts from the old soda/pharmacy days makes this the perfect place for a delicious breakfast, lunch or dinner. Any history buff will get a kick out of it! Truly worth... More

Like others have stated, long waits are a risk here. A group of three of us visited on Saturday and arrived at 11:50. We had a fifteen minute wait for a table. that was fine, as we walked around a bit. However we had to wait an hour for our lunch to arrive, merely soup and sandwiches. They had four... More

On the plus side - Steilacoom is heaven in our opinion. Many times in summer months we've walked passed this place, charmed by those seated out on the porch and having a lovely view of the water and mountains. Another plus to this place is the wait staff who are extremely pleasant and accommodating. A third plus is the setting... More
