I absolutely love the food at this restaurant. You can't go wrong with any of their schnitzel and spaetzle but my God you must try either the chowder or the beef stroganoff. The juillene slices of the meat with the savory sauce soaking up in the spaetzle topped with sour cream is what food dreams are made of.
My husband and I dined here recently and we both enjoyed the evening very much. The hostess was very warm, friendly and accommodating as was our waitress. We ordered the brat appetizer which was fresh and delicious because they make their own brats on the premises. We both had salads which were very good as the dressings are made there... More
We had been shopping all day and it was starting to rain and just wanted to get a good meal and sit for awhile. Went into the Das Stein Haus and decided to have the prime rib. VERY BUSY and not enough help. Had to wait, but the food made it worth it. Wonderful prime rib, cooked perfectly to order,... More
My wife and I stopped here for lunch and were blown away by the food. It's an unpretentious family restaurant with a great menu, generous portions, modest prices (given the quality and quantity), and attentive service. Their house-made, proprietor's recipe brats were so good, we brought home 2 pounds to enjoy later. Schnitzel, spätzle, soup, apple strudel, German beers...everything we... More
The spatzle is the best we've had outside of Germany. The Jager schnitzel and gravy was excellent. The sausages incredible. The service was very good. Even have Celebrator on tap! Great German beers. Very generous portions and reasonably priced..
Located in the unassuming 5 Mile Shopping Plaza, Das Stein Haus provides good, filling authentic (or as close as you're going to get in WA State) food. I enjoyed the Jager Schnitzel with home fries and red cabbage. Served with French onion soup, the petite portion was VERY satisfying. Reasonable prices and friendly service made for a pleasant meal. Don't... More
Food was just like being in Germany. The potato salad was fantastic. The sausages were excellent. Great flavor and not greasy! Highly recommend the Lemon cake.
Breakfast is now on the menu. Six of us went the other day and every one had something different and everyone was happy with what they got. I had the jaeger snitzel with potato pancakes; the pork was tender, the gravy was thick and flavorful. Others had sausage and enjoyed it tremendously. Price was reasonable for what you got.
