We went for a 1:00pm Wednesday lunch without a reservation and were seated immediately in one of the upstairs dining sections. The nearly 100-year old boarding house has been updated but retains a historical charm with a great collection of old photographs of the Renton area displayed throughout. While the name identifies itself to be a Beer & Wine Shoppe,... More

We came across this place via Tripadvisor while looking for some place good to eat close to our hotel in Renton. It sounded promising, so we booked a table. The result was a fine evening out. The food was excellent. My wife had a Catalan seafood stew, I had braised pork shoulder, and my brother had the vegetarian pot pie.... More

The Red House has been around for a while and even though I would occasionally visit, it wasn't my favorite restaurant in town. Well, now it's been moving upward for sure. Gene & Huong Sens have been giving it more attention and it's noteworthy. A couple of favorites. The Falafel Fries are worth getting with any sandwich instead of french... More

Interesting converted rooming house for coal miners and railroad workers. The place is divided by the many rooms giving each room a cozy intimate feeling. The food is outstanding. The menu imaginative and the service is attentive without being overbearing. Vast wine menu to compliment your meal. Better buy it by the glass as my only knock is the high... More

Excellent trip to The Red House last week to enjoy appetizers, entrees, and wine with friends. The location is also a wine shop with a wide selection, reasonable wine shop prices and only $5 corkage fee. The paella with shellfish, chicken, sausage and peppers was amazing!

Went to the red house and was very happily surprised with such a gentle homey atmosphere. The servers were very nice and recommended some good wine to go with some good tapas and main dish. Had the Dungeoness crab cakes and they were very fresh hot and tasty. And then in the seafood mode, we shared paella. Though the dishes... More

Interesting place with ambiance of a cozy house converted in the restaurant. Menu is not too big but dishes are well selected and well prepared. Also reasonably priced. Restaurant have great choices of bears and even better choices of wines. Wines have great prices and are even cheaper if taken away. Among other things, strongly suggest paella and braised pork...
