After living in Germany for nearly 7 years, we were thrilled that Leavenworth was near our new home. Andreas reminded us of many Keller restaurants we had visited in Germany, very authentic decor. There was a good mix of options and most everything we had...More

Check their website for info. Said it would be open in Spring. Well, it's not yet. We were disappointed as eating here for the first time was to be a highlight of our off season trip.More

It is still Spring and we are open! The closure was due to no fault of ours and our employees were working hard with the contractors so that we could push the normal opening date up. I am so very proud of what we have...More

Great place, especially in October, we go to Oktoberfest most years and have a blast. I go for the Schweinenhaxen but my family loves the restaurant in general. Good food, festive atmosphere and a cultural experience.

We were excited to try this place as I love authentic German food, but we left disappointed and angry. When we arrived we were seated quickly and proceeded to wait 15 minutes for ANY server to acknowledge our table. It wasn't busy and we could...More

Bless you for your loyal support! We hope to open sooner than March, but only time will tell, as we suffered the failure of a new sprinkler system in our building the last week of December. We are working like mad to get our flagship...More

The live music in this place was nice since we were sitting in the bar so it was more like background music. We were not overly enthused about the food as it was rather pricey and the taste was pretty forgettable. Service was good and...More

Description
This family-owned business has been bringing Bavaria to Leavenworth for over 25 years. The chef, Anita Hamilton, has been personally overseeing the kitchen since 1991 and is a native of Germany. The made-from-scratch desserts, soups and entrees are reminiscent of traditional Gasthaus fare. The owner, Heidi Forchemer, travels to Germany yearly for new menu ideas. Her son, Max, can be heard playing his button accordion most weekends, along with other local musicians, such as Tom Tilton of the Alpenfolk band. It simply doesn't get more authentic than this!
