Major gray chicken is a must. Green beans are very tasty. Everything else is pretty good too. While the restaurant is a little out of the downtown area and hidden in a side strip mall, the food is good enough to make the jaunt to.

I went there for Lunch Buffet today. Took an half hour to find the place. Buffet starts at 11:30 am and we reached at 1pm but the restaurant was empty. Anyhow out of modesty we inaugurated the buffet. My friend was veggie but he didn't find any appetizer to start with. Still we consoled ourselves that its a Mogul cuisine... More

I went here on rec. From D Magazine. It was the worst Indian food I have eaten. The buffet was tiny and cold. All chicken had little knobs and splinters of bones . The vindaloo also was a joke. Literally all that was good was the bread and rice and spinach though cold. I am shocked at the good reviews.... More

After waiting almost 30 minutes for our two-item order - our waiter informed us the kitchen had forgotten to cook our tandoori chicken so it would be another 15 minutes. We were offered a free appetizer which we declined. If we'd wanted an appetizer, we would have ordered one! Eventually our food turned up - the eggplant dish was spicy... More

Favorite spot to enjoy family dinners, celebrate birthdays, take out of town visitors, etc. - cozy surroundings, friendly service - and fabulous food! Love the garlic naan, pulao, and of course the curries (major grey, velvet butter, masala ginger are terrif!). If you're in the Seattle area, definitely worth checking out!

I eat dinner at Shamiana every week and love the food. Their various lamb specials are almost always worth getting. The Tikka Lamb is my favorite, with very tender high quality lamb. The Samosas are excellent, and I've watched them cook the Naan (which are delicious) in their Tandori oven. I personally think their Mulligatawny Soup is one of the... More

I have read reviews complaining that the food is not authentic Indian. Probably not. It's owned and operated by two Americans who lived in the Pakistan-India area as children, so the menu is tweaked to American palate. Let us say it is Indian or Pakistani inspired. Nonetheless, the food is absolutely delicious. The lunch buffet is quite varied and delicious... More

I like a good Indian lunch buffet and Shamiana delivered. Two vegetarian entrees to choose from; everything clearly marked. We ordered samosas off the menu and thought they were a little pricey, but good. I'd go back for sure. Nice atmosphere and other people eating there which is always a good sign.

A friend recommended Shamiana and suggested I try the lunch buffet. This was a good recommendation as I'd never had Indian food before. The buffet gave me an opportunity to sample several dishes. There were two types of soup, three salads, and roughly five main dishes. There was also an incredible dessert that was similar to yogurt parfait. Honestly, I... More
