Food is Good overpriced Margaritas

Busy place, got there for early dinner with grand kids-food good served in timely way but overpriced margaritas tasted out of a bottle-choose Corona

Super burrito was fantastic! Nachos were very good. Large servings, kept some for next day. Wonderful hot salsa, mild options available. Drinks were well done.

Came Back the Next Night

Great job by all involved here. Food was good enough for us to return for two nights in a row. Margaritas were well received by one of our group. Mole and verde sauces were well-prepared.

We like to drop in at El Guavas once or twice a month. Decent food for an affordable price. Clean and good service every visit.

I chose this restaurant based on the menu and reviews and it exceeded our expectations. Great drinks, service and a varied menu with something for everyone. Will definitely be returning soon.

We drive 60 miles to eat here!

We love this restaurant. First, the food is excellent. Their Carne Asada is the best, and my personal favorite is the Fajita Salad. But everything is good, and you can't possibly eat it all. You'll notice that lots of local Mexicans eat here, which tells you it is authentic (and reasonable!) Their mixed drinks are NOT watered down, which is so unusual. The service is excellent, and they will happily accomodate your requests. Birthday celebrations are so fun at El Agave, too. The absolute BEST place to eat in Ephrata, and for miles around. PS: great place to bring kids and large groups.

On the flip side... Pacifico was great

I ordered the tortilla soup. The broth was ok. They used frozen carrots and peas in the soup, not even fresh. There was a fair amount of chicken but it looked like it was discarded pieces of chicken that wouldn’t work anywhere else in a dish. Disappointed. The hostess was very nice!

New owners-great improvement!

I have eaten lunch here several times in the past few months and am so happy to report that the food, service and value are good. The lunch specials are usually $9.99 and have not disappointed. If you have had bad experiences in the past, don’t let them stop you from having some excellent Mexican food.

Our family of 12 1/2 went here for lunch on Saturday afternoon. They handled us very well and the food & drinks were delicious!! I can't compare to any other restaurants in the area but this is a good one! Thanks!

A Filling Plate

We haven't been to El Agave in a very long time so today we opted to give it a chance. My wife went to her go to of an asada burrito. I chose a carnitas burrito (photos). Let's start with the sides. Frijoles refritos were watery and the rice was absolutely tasteless. On to the entrées. A huge chunk of gristle sat on top the pile of meat in my wife's carne asada. (I tasted the meat, it did have a nice charred flavor, as it should.). The burrito was of a reasonably large size and covered with a so pasta salsa rojo. My carnitas burrito was both flavorful and a disappointment at the same time. The meat did have a nice taste to it BUT it was little more than shedded pork not cooked pork which had been on a griddle to add another dimension of flavor. The burrito was covered with a salsa verde of tomatillos. The service was fairly timely and conducted in a well spoken English.

Tasty King Sized Portions make up for Lackluster Service

I ordered a tortilla soup with chicken; it arrived in a bown big enough to serve as a hot tub from my granddaughter's Barbie dolls. It was at least a quart of soup and perhaps more for about $10. The meal included a generous sized bucket of tortilla chips served with sides of salsa and zesty cabbage slaw for dipping. A request for additional salsa, made when ordering, went utterly ignored. I would return but ask for extra salsa with the drink order.

Great Fundraiser Event!

Just finished our campaign fundraiser at El Agave this evening and Augustin and Irving prepared the best "finger food" for people to mingle and snack on! Beef nachos, beef and chicken quesadillas, beef enchiladas, drinks and much more! Great variety and it all tasted great! Hope you support these two new (home-grown Jackrabbit) owners that also love Quincy! Should have go a photo. What a layout!
