We came for lunch and shared an enchilada. These were supposedly smaller portions then dinner, but plenty for us to share. They have $4.00 margaritas during lunch(Monday to Friday), the fresh strawberry which was only .25 more was amazing...and we didn't share those! Chips and salsa and service left a bit of room for improvement...this 4 star rating.

Good Food and Service

This is a very popular Mexican restaurant in East Wenatchee and it is easy to see why. There is a extensive menu and on the back there are lighter and less expensive options which we appreciated. They are operating with restrictions still with open tables spaced through the restaurant. Chips and salsa were generous and good. I had the taco salad which enjoyed and was quite filling. My wife had the vegetarian quesadillas and they were well prepared. The portions look quite large especially for us senior citizens and next time we visit might try splitting fajitas as they looked very good. Water glass was constantly being refilled and service was friendly and efficient.

Busy place with good food

This restaurant had social distancing down well. And because they are very busy, while they want you to enjoy your meal, they also ask you not to loiter! The food and the quantity were excellent and service was great. Only picky piece was that one of the burritos did not come with the rice and beans on the side as advertised, but the burrito size itself made up for the lack.

Great dinner but hard to find parking!

Not much to add here that probably hasn't already been said but we think that their mexican food is very good for their prices. They have great service and we like their cabbage that they serve alongside their salsa and chips. The chips aren't my favorite but that's probably personal preference. It is very busy a lot and noisy so be prepared for that. I like the pork chili verde and my husband likes the steak fajitas. I would like to see them have more chicken dishes, like chicken chili verde and more vegetable sides. We like their rancho beans. It's frustrating not being able to find parking, we had to circle and wait quite awhile. The key to us is that the food is good for the value which we appreciate.

Excellent Feast

I'm from Canada here visiting family and ordered in lady night. The portions were huge, only took 20 minutes from ordering to pick up, very fresh and yummy. The cabbage salsa is so unique and good. We all had something different and it was all delicious. The man who took our phone order was very kind and polite to two women who don't speak Spanish butchering the language. Well definitely have more food from here! Thank you!

Excellent food and alright service

We stopped in for lunch. The parking lot was tight and almost full, but we did find a spot. They were busy inside too, but we were seated in less than 5 minutes. Our drinks were ordered and arrived within 3 minutes. Our server was quick and efficient, but we had 2 elderly persons in our group and he got impatient with them quickly and wasn't a great listener. He was ready to take our food order, but we asked him to come back. After a few minutes, he came back and it was the same story. He just got very impatient with our two older friends so we had to help with the ordering process. The food was good and hot when it arrived and the portions were good too. Our chips did not get refilled, but our drinks were. We will go here again next time in the area, but hope for better service next time.

Dinner with friends

While visiting from out of town, I expressed interest in having some good Mexican food. El Porton did not disappoint. We ordered smaller portion entrees, but it was still a generous amount of food. Even on a busy evening the service was good. It was on the noisy side so not a place to go if you want quiet conversation.

Great Mexican

Stopped at El Porton for an early dinner on my way to Winthrop. Fast and friendly service. Food was fresh and so good. I had a combination plate. Lots of locals were enjoying El Porton which is always a great sign when searching for a place to eat.

Wonderful food

I was very pleased with the dinner. The refried beans were really good- definitely not canned. I ordered the beef and chicken fajitas- excellent. Great portions and the carmelized onions were delicious. Great service and delicious margarita. Thank you!

Frequent customer and I'm never disappointed

My wife and I eat at El Porton every month or two. In several years of eating here the food and service have always been good. Parking is close. Another thing I like is that there's no loud music so it's quiet enough to carry on a conversation at the table without a lot of background noise. I recommend it.

Just ok, good for a quick bite

Went to Wenatchee to visit friends and this was close to our hotel. Saw the reviews and thought it sounded good. We are from the Seattle area, this is just another basic Mexican Restaurant. Typical fair on the menu and the margaritas were from a mix. Friendly staff, large portions and quick seating. Just not what I was hoping for from some of the reviews.

Great Mexican food.
