It was a sunny beautiful Sunday and we decided on a road trip with lunch. The 106 miles round trip to the Inn was well worth it. We got there just after noon and were given the option to be immediately seated either indoor or...More

I've been visiting Camano Island for 15 years or so. So, in my opinion, this restaurant is the best bet if you're looking for a fine dining experience. The restaurant is located at the Camano Island Inn. I recently stayed at the Inn and had...More

We lunched here sometime back and really enjoyed it, so when we knew we’d be back on Camano with friends from Texas we called for a Sunday evening reservation only to learn there was a wine pairing special dinner scheduled. Four courses, four Walla Walla...More

Dear SkykomishB, Thank you so much for the eloquent "food critic" type review about our wine dinner a few weeks ago...it was a beautiful and yes, an enchanting evening with wonderfully pleasant and interesting guest, sitting around an artfully decorated table drinking divine wines, engaging...More

Great place, both the B&B and the Bistro. Food is outstanding and the view outside is breathtaking. The Chef even has his own produce garden from which they make the meals. Pricey but worth it.

Margaret L
Hi Susan, I just moved here from Seattle, where I still work part-time as a cook for On Safari Foods catering. I was delighted to discover that fine dining is alive and well at the Camano Island Waterfront Bistro! (Even better, that it's less than a mile from my house, which would make for a VERY short commute indeed if I were to be able to find work in the Waterfront Bistro's kitchen...) I did call a couple weeks ago in this regard, and am not sure if I spoke with you? The woman who answered the phone wasn't terribly encouraging, but I thought it wouldn't hurt to give it another try. FYI, I have over 12 years' experience in the food & beverage industry, having owned and operated my own award-winning* restaurant, Cafe Bleu, dba The Personal Chef, in Delaware. I relocated to Seattle three years ago after closing the business and selling my home there. I studied, albeit informally, under the tutelage of a James Beard Foundation chef, and completed a culinary arts course at Polytech Adult Education. The rest of my training has mostly been self-taught, roll-up-your-sleeves in nature. I'm simply an unrepentant foodie who loves to cook and would welcome being considered for a part-time sous chef position alongside Chef Jason & staff. That's my story. Let me know if an interview might be arranged. Thank you, Margaret M. *News Journal Critics' Choice: Delaware's Best Kept Secret
