This restaurant had a great selection of items to chose for breakfast. It was reasonably priced and the service was attentive. Very pleasant décor and delicious well prepared food. I highly recommend this restaurant for breakfast. Great illy coffee from Italy!

The food was very good, I had the salmon and it was fantastic. My husband had a burger and said it was good but not outstanding. My friend ordered a liver dish and it came out cold. The chef actually made her a brand new dish and she loved it. For an expensive restaurant I was surprised that soda was... More

We arrived around 11:45 for lunch on a busy Christmas season day but were seated promptly. Go early as by the time we left long line waiting. Our waiter was great. We each had a different choice but everything was wonderful. Presentation was nice. My chicken and mushroom crepe and side salad was superb. It's really a great place to... More

Four of us had dinner at The Blue Talon. My wife and I had mussels for appetizers and the others had French onion soup. My wife had a crepe dish, my son and I had the pot roast and his guest had the steak and salad. All of food was very good including the rolls. The pot roast was served... More

On our recent visit to Williamsburg, VA we had a pop in lunch at this fancy restaurant. It was very crowded, but we got a spot at the bar, and we had a tasty, nice and very frenchy lunch. The only complaint: rather small portions. People who complain about the noise level have never been to a real french bistro!... More

Thanks for sharing - and particularly for the reference to French bistros! We love that hustle and bustle and, yeah actually, the noise too. I know it sounds crazy to say (or to type) but that noise tells me I am in a place where people relax, be themselves and have a good time. Which helps me do the same.... More

So no, didn't like it, won't be back. Three of us went, having had it recommended to us. Sigh. If you like paying exorbitant prices to eat sweetbreads and liver, in a loud atmosphere with minimal service, then you will love this restaurant. Since we don't like any of the above we were considerably less than pleased. Handicap access is... More

Social media is the great equalizer! However we think we are doing, there are plenty of folks willing to share their opinion to set us straight. I won't argue with your analysis of our tables - we actually like them close together to create an urban, cosmopolitan feel that is lacking all over our wonderful small town. Also, we try... More

My boyfriend and I were in Williamsburg to visit all the Christmas festivities. He noticed the Blue Talon as we were walking by and checked out the menu. We decided we would eat there after we walked all over the Colonial area and the festive stores. We were able to get a seat at the bar (we prefer the bar... More

My husband and I recently visited Colonial Williamsburg for the weekend. We love the Blue Talon and once again, they did not disappoint. Everything we had, from the wine, to the appetizer (incredible mussels with a broth to die for!!), to the entree (we each got the steak frites...cooked and seasoned perfectly), to dessert, were spot on! From beginning to... More
