If you like cheese, you will enjoy this shop. But as one might expect, it is a bit pricey but worth a visit—if you like cheese.

We called in our order and were told it was a forty-five minute wait. No problem! We continued to explore Williamsburg until it was ready. Great sandwiches that were ready on time- even for 14 of us! There are lots of goodies to buy too.

Come here at noon to order sandwich and you will be amazed by the crush to order and the crush to receive your order (in fact you will be amazed that your order is ever filled but the operation is more efficient than it looks). It's a good sandwich but not so good that you would brave the crush on... More

This place wasn't exactly what we had thought. When we attempted to ask one of the people working at the deli a question, we were answered very rudely and made to feel very stupid. Won't be going back!

We went on a Saturday and I'm not sure if it's better on the weekdays but it was packed. When we put our order in it was a 20 min wait. We had never been there so when we got to the front to order. It was very much what bread, what meat, mayo or mustard. Kinda short with us... More

Would be 5 stars, the cheese is delicious, the sandwiches amazing (albeit small). However, it is just too crowded. It took them 1hr 16m to make 8 sandwiches. Also, it took 30m to even get a table; but there were plenty of chairs! (Sarcasm). TL;DR good cheese, don't get the sandwiches unless you have a few hours to kill.

The sandwiches are way too small for the circa $7 you are paying for a meal. You'd almost need two of them to be full. The meat and the bread are tasty, the cheese tastes fresh, and do order a sandwich with the house sauce. Maybe the rent is too high and they have to charge this much.

Went for the cheese and stayed for the sam'itch. The place was elbow deep with customers. We worked our way to the back of the shop and purchased some deli sandwiches. My wife had Italian salami on brioche bread and I a corned beef on rye. Good hero made great with the house sauce. Wife and I were really happy... More

We enjoyed having our lunch at The Cheese Shop's outdoor seating on a perfect fall day. We had roast beef & provolone with the house special dressing. We each ordered our own favorite bread--mine was rye and my husband's wheat. The bread was homemade with a crisp crust--making our sandwiches delicious! Recommend having lunch at this neat shop.

Looking for lunch while visiting Colonial Williamsburg. Stopped for sandwiches. Had. Turkey swiss cheese on homemade rye bread with the "house" dressing. Grabbed a cold beverage & chips. Took 10 minutes to call our name. You can sit outside or at a lunch bar inside. Bread was so yummy. Lots of meat & cheese. Next time may grab cheese &... More
