This is located behind the Raleigh Tavern and has a variety of items for a quick bite or drink. They have bottled water, soda, root beer, ginger ale and other cold beverages. They also have hot and cold cider and hot coffee. There are coolers...More

So, you've been going all day at CW and run out of time for lunch because you have to get to another presentation? Go to Raleigh's, where they have excellent snacks and desserts that are portable and tasty and reasonably prices (as are the drinks).

Ginger cakes, and other homemade items are fun to try. Other beverages and snacks are availble, too.

Tucked in behind other buildings, this excellent choice for lunch is often overlooked. They have sandwiches and fresh baked goods, sodas, cold cider, hot tea and a self-serve espresso machine. Quick service and benches to sit out back make this a simple choice.

Great coffee, great baked goods. Easy in and out. Just step through the door, grab what you want, pay and exit the next door!

A must for anyone visiting Colonial Williamsburg. A nice place to take a break from all the tours and sightseeing. Fresh-baked ginger cookies are terrific and I even order them when I can't be there but enjoy them at home.

The bakery has cold beverages, sandwiches, chips, etc. for a quick lunch while at the far end of Colonial Williamsburg. Most of the food places are at the other end so it was nice to stop in here without walking all the way back to...More

Grab and go food like prepared sandwiches and salads. Sells snacks like famous ginger cake cookies. In historic area. No indoor seating. Less friendly than it used to be...miss items made on site. Frequently crowded--length of queue can make browsing items difficult. Convenience prices.

The bakeshop is a good place to grab some colonial baked goods for a light snack. The snack items which are strictly colonial are ginger snap cookies, chocolate chip cookies, oatmeal raisin, sugar cookies, apple turnovers and a pretzel roll. There are also some modern...More

The historic taverns were too busy for me, so I decided just to grab some lunch at the Raleigh Tavern Bakeshop during my visit to Colonial Williamsburg. I got the salad with chicken, a bottle of water, and a ginger cookie-cake for $13.54 and sat...More

The only Williamsburg cookbook I have is "The Williamsburg Art of Cookery", a 1972 reprint of 1938 and 1966 earlier versions I inherited from my mother. There is no such recipe in it, but that doesn't mean it isn't in some... More

This is take out, you pick it up, then pay and go outside to find a bench to eat. You can probably plan on $5--7 for a sandwich, $2-3 for slices of pie or each baked good. Prices are not cheap, but probably typical for... More
