Chowning's is a very well-themed eatery in the middle of the historic buildings and reconstructed properties in Colonial Williamsburg. Its purpose is for visitors to the Colonial attractions and historic street, so obviously, they don't have a parking lot around it. You walk there just...More

Lunch was decent, waited about 45 minutes to get in to eat. It was really good pub food though and sustained us until dinner.

My son and I planned our visit to Chowning's because of the web site's description: "You don’t need a reservation to step into our authentic 18th-century alehouse...Every day starting at 5 p.m. while dining, join in a Chowning’s tradition of colonial drinks, colonial games, and...More

We had a very late lunch and ate out back in the patio, picnic table area since indoor eating was filled. Salads seemed to be in order since we should be eating dinner in 4 hours or so. My wife and I chose the Cobb...More

We ate here for lunch since you could get in without a reservation. There was entertainment. The food was okay, nothing spectacular. I think I would go to one of these Taverns once on the Colonial Williamsburg property for the experience, then fine other restaurants...More

I suggest you direct your question to the venue where you purchased your special event ticket. I only dine at Chownings at regular dining, not special events. No idea what the menu will be.
