I've been twice this summer and have to say I was disappointed. The shrimp were small and the scallops over cooked and very little. Not what it used to be-sorry but it isn't. They give you more then most places but not the high quality...More

With the parking lot full at 2 pm we thought we might have a wait but this restaurant's size is deceiving -- it has lots of table space inside. Our waitress helped us fine-tune our dining options and we were grateful because we liked the...More

This is a 'hole in the wall' seafood joint, but don't let the chill interior reduce your expectations. The food is delicious and priced reasonable. Get the she crab soup and a platter! The frozen drinks were super strong and delicious! Will come back again!

Went for lunch. There were 3 of us and we all enjoyed our meal. Two had the fried seafood platter which was very tasty. The sides were just okay - typical cole slaw but not much else to go with it. I got broccoli but...More

Disappointing. After reading the glowing reviews, we decided that we had to give it a try. The food was not at all what we expected, after viewing other's positive comments. The service was somewhat slow but our waitress just had too many folks to take...More

We arrived around 5pm on a Saturday, so the height of dinner time. The place was totally packed. We were greeted by the hostess almost immediately and taken back to a second section of the restaurant with additional seating. We were given a very detailed...More

I don't believe so, but you could always call and double check. It is more of a local place, rather than upscale fine dining. But food is good.

Description
Margie and Ray’s Restaurant was established in 1964 as a small country store and tackle shop which was owned and operated by Ray and Margie Blanton. This landmark building located on a dirt road, now known as Sandbridge Road, served as a convenience for local Sandbridge residents. The store was passed on to their son Thomas in 1997 where it was renovated into a small seafood restaurant. Over the past several years Margie and Ray’s has become known as one of the top seafood establishments in the southern end of Virginia Beach. It continues to be operated by Thomas Blanton.
