For 40 years, TASTE has been the locals' favorite for lunch all day, featuring sandwiches with our famous house dressing. Pre-order boxed lunches or catering platters for your group events. We offer gourmet provisions, wine, craft beers, gelato, and Virginia peanuts. Our Pacific Avenue location also offers beer & wine by the glass to enjoy with your meal. Taste the good life!
The sandwiches were great. Probably the freshest bread ever for a sandwich shop. Our table also tried the soup of the day which was shrimp corn chowder which was amazing with just the right amount of spice to it.
For a squadron reunion we ordered a total of 61 box lunches for two events. Everyone raved about the food. Each lunch was a special order from a selection of about seven different sandwiches. Each box had the recipients name on it.
We came here a bit harried because our first choice had lines down the block and we had a hungry toddler in tow. The staff was very kind, and though they were quite busy, our food was ready in just a few minutes. It was...extremely high quality (free range chicken on the salad) and well prepared. Fantastic sandwiches and salads!More
I've been going here for over 30 years and they have always had super fresh deli meat and cheese's. Their house dressing they put on sandwiches is amazing. I jokingly tell them to dip the whole sandwich in it. My Fav - Smoked Turkey, Swiss...Cheese, French bread, House Dressing - lots.More
Nice quality but not large sandwiches. Bread to me seemed a little stale. Overpriced chips and drinks can jack up your bill pretty fast ($55 for 4 sandwiches is high in my opinion). Wasn't impressed with the service or staff--e.g. eat-in means pay at the...register, find a seat, and wait for quite a while to get your order in a shopping bag by an aloof deliverer (a smile might have been at least welcomed for the tip I paid). For my money, I'll lunch at a real restaurant next time--and there are many good ones to choose from in the area.More
