I was so ready for a good steak. My $34.00 Ribeye was sent back because of my sawzaw blade broke cutting it. The replacement one was just as bad. Good news, the bartender makes good Martinis. The bad news is the steaks were really, really...bad. If you purchase poor quality, you get poor dinners. With a name like Black Angus you would think the steaks would be tender and really good. This is a great location for a restaurant. But who ever is deciding where to buy steaks, should be fired. As the waitress said after giving me and my wife the $122.00 bill, she stated "maybe it was just a bad batch of cows". 🤷More

We had a nice evening at Black Angus. Sat at an outside table on a lively evening. Waitress was very attentive without being annoying. The steak sandwich was really good. A lot of thinly sliced meat with melted cheese on top with beef sauce and...horse radish on the side. The side of grilled veggies was tasty as well. The angus burger was delicious. A big burger. Mike’s salad was exceptional. Amazing tomatoes on it and a ½ salad was really large. Our waitress Susann recommended a local IPA and it was great. The beer selection very boring otherwise. We will eat here again.More

My family and I made a reservation for our last night on vacation thinking we would have saved the best meal for last. Was I wrong. To start from the beginning, it took the server about 10-15 minutes to bring us our drinks, and my...bottle of beer was warm. Probably because it was sitting on the bar. I will say the apps were good. Then it went all down hill. They brought the steaks for myself and my wife and pasta for the kids. Not only was my steak cold, but so was the vegetables and the béarnaise sauce to put on it. My wife's filet was med rare, but she ordered medium. Again, the server no where to be found, so we couldn't even tell he. I guess they don't understand the concept of having the customer cut the steak in front of the server to see if it was cooked as asked. I've cooked thousands of steaks in a restaurant for 20 years and these were bad. After telling this to my server, nothing was done. I've had better steaks at chains. Don't waste your time making a reservation then paying your money for mediocre food/service.More

Our waitress kept apologizing for problems but we could tell that came from an understaffing problem faced by all restaurants right now. They threw in a couple of free drinks to compensate, which is fine by us! On the whole a decent place, and good...food.More

You are right that we are understaffed. Thank you for your patience. I am glad you enjoyed the dinner and hopefully you can return when we are caught up on staffing. Thank you again for your feedback.

My Prime Rib was juicy and delicious. I added a Lobster to it because I love seafood too. My server was attentive and very friendly. Will defiantly be back.

Fantastic! Glad you liked it. I remember the order because we don't get too many Prime Rib and Lobster combos. Thank you for your kind words.

Hubby and I were celebrating our 39th and had a great, relaxing dinner at the Black Angus. The she crab soup was fantastic! Lovely VA regionally sourced NY strip hit the spot, and we topped it off with creme brulee for 2. The attentive server...surprised us with a comped champagne toast making it extra special. Will definitely be back for enticing midweek specials.More

Very glad you enjoyed the dinner. Also, our locally sourced Angus NY Strip. It comes from central Virginia outside of Chatham. 100% grass fed beef on organic pastures. No hormones or antibiotics either. It has been a great addition to the menu. Thank you for...More

One of the few things I order at a restaurant is steak, and it's usually Prime Rib or Rib Eye so when we were traveling to Virginia Beach in October I search for a reasonable priced Steak House and this one caught my attention. The...name sounded good, it had decent reviews and it was close to our hotel so we gave it a try. Not sure if I'd go again but it was okay. For the price I think they could have been a little more laid back, they seemed to want to push elegants which wasn't all bad except for the morbid music they were playing. We commented amongst ourselves many times on the downer music they were playing which kind of put a dark gloomy mood to the night. The food was okay, not the best steak I've had but I made the best of it. So in short if you like a gloomy atmosphere (and maybe we caught them on a bad music night) with your dinner you might give it a try. It was very reasonable and food wasn't terrible so it might be worth another try. Mike from MichiganMore

My husband and I went to dinner there on a Friday night. There were two other couples there, at 6 p.m.! I asked the waitress if the crabcakes were made there and she assured me that they were. THEY WERE FROZEN! I've had better crabcakes...from the frozen aisle at my supermarket. I had a side of broccoli that was gray, which I didn't eat. That didn't stop them from trying to charge me $17 for a 3-oz "crabcake" on a hamburger roll.More

Food is great and prices are really reasonable. This was our second visit. Definitely one of the best Delmonico steaks I've had! Look pass the decor and you'll enjoy a delicious meal for sure. Highly recommend.

Best restaurant in VA Beach. Seated immediately for reservation, on time , waitress Samantha took care of us immediately and excelled at her work. The steak was perfect as were the stuffed jumbo shrimp. Cheesecake deserts were awesome and much larger than other places we...went too. Highly recommend Black Angus on Atlantic Blvd and Samantha our waitress.More
