I went here during winter under a recommendation, and OMG, am I glad that I did. We were walking on the Boardwalk before we came into Murphys this was in the middle of winter, so we were very cold. We walked in, they had a couple fireplaces, a few heaters, and they got us a table. We all ordered what... More

Service was great, but not the food. The she crab soup was congealed, really creamy, and really sweet! Not anything I would expect. The Shepard's pie was an actual pie. It was tepid and very, very salty. That's coming from someone who salts everything. We will not be returning.

We went to Murphy's with a group of friends and they had a great band. I ordered dinner and my friends wanted to order shots. I didn't want to have a shot so I asked for a shooter instead (think foo foo drink in a shot glass). Our waitress said the bartender messed up and brought me a bigger glass.... More

Steff, Could you please contact me when you have a moment? I'd like to discuss this with you a little further and figure out why this happened. I'm very happy to hear that you enjoyed the band and the atmosphere, but would like to sort out what happened with your bill. Lindsay thibault@jarbocorp.com More

Corned Beef dinner is out of this world! Visit every year for Shamrock Marathon weekend. Live music that's festively loud Irish or Rock. St. Patty's Day hundreds there when we arrived in town at 10:30. Got a table though because everyone's packed by the bar and the band or outside in one of the patio areas. This must be on... More

Freezing, windy day in Virginia Beach and two people in our hotel recommended Murphy's for a casual lunch, as it was just two blocks away and we could walk there. Typical Irish pub look inside, not fancy at all, dark with lots of wood and things on the wall, flags on the ceiling, and best of all a big roaring... More

A group of us ladies visited here for a late lunch in honor of St. Patrick's Day. They Bangors and Mash seemed to be a hit, but the Irish Reuben was sorely lacking. For $10, I got an open faced sandwich with sparse fixins. And they charged me $2 extra to substitute green beans instead of fries without telling me... More

Go there every year when I am visiting for the Virginia Arts Festival. A little pricy for five people. Waitress gave a great description of local beer then came back and said they were out. Then repeated the process again and I ordered a Guiness. Good for Ireland and for me, not good for local breweries. Food was average, steak... More

My Partner and I arrive on a rather busy night but were seated very quickly. The interior decor was pub like, while still maintaining a clean and fresh vibe. The service was quick and efficient, and our appetizers were on the table in less 10 minutes, with our food following about 10 minutes after. The potato skin appetizer was just... More
