I went in to purchase a few pastry items and a couple of chicken biscuits. When I got home, I found out that I was missing two chocolate croissants. Very disappointing! The order was $40 so it wasn’t a cheap visit.
We were traveling on I81 and looking for a nearby restaurant. My wife thought this one was close to the highway and sounded like a nice place for lunch. Unfortunately she didn’t look at the menu. She liked the tiny quiche she ordered but the...rest of our “lunch” was not good. My croissant was dry and stale. Coffee did not taste right. This is basically a “bakery” / breakfast place for locals.More
Enjoyed all our fresh tasting food. We had the egg and cheese croissants. I had the ham with it and my spouse added bacon to hers. They were very tasty and we loved the fresh fruit that came with them. We shared an almond croissant...which was very good.More
This is a charming little cafe tucked back from the street, with a few indoor tables and a tantalizing row of pastries and breads to select from. I had a chocolate croissant and an unsweet iced tea and both were perfection. My friends had the...sandwiches which they said were also excellent.More

Thank you for taking the time to review our bakery! I'll pass it on to the staff.
We were so happy to find this cute place - artwork on the brick walls and delicious baked items. We had croissant breakfast sandwiches, which come with fresh fruit and they were excellent! In addition, the staff was welcoming and friendly. So wonderful to have...small independent restaurants - let’s support them!!!More

Thank you! We appreciate your support, and hope to see you again one day.
Stopped in early. Ordered a pecan cinnamon roll, eggs and toast and two coffees. Eggs came with one tiny toast. Should have asked to have cinnamon roll heated (my bad). Coffe was good. Great place for a European type experience. Highly recommend.More

I missed this. Thank you for the review. If you had mentioned it to the staff they should have giving you more toast. If you didn't then please don't hesitate to ask next time. We tend to be generous with bread when we know people...More
I just love this lovely place. And dislike that I have to give it 3 stars for the customer service I received in November 2019 because, the service has always been great. The owner is awesome and very creative with his craft. When our office...was located near downtown Roanoke I was able to visit Bread Craft very regularly. But, now we are located across town it's very hard to do. But, this one morning none of the regular staff members was nowhere to be seen or maybe had the day off and everything seem to go a different way. I've always call ahead to place my order because, everything is made to order and the food is always HOT and FRESH!! which is great. Well, this particular morning I called ahead for my regular steak, egg and cheese croissant which I thought I had because, again I've never had an issue. As a take a bite as soon as I am in the car I discovered I had an bacon, egg and cheese croissant. (NOT FOR ME!)
And this is when the morning turned around for me. I immediately went back into Bread Craft and mention to the staff member that my item I ordered was not correct. At that time she stated that she heard me ask for the item in the bag on the phone.e phone. I seriously doubt that because, I've ordered the same thing for 2 years no changes here and I don't eat BACON! And I always say "when something is good why change it" Again I have always had great service and I do think that she was a new staff member that was upset at the fact that I came back. She was a staff member that I've never seen. I haven't been back but, I will continue to support the business because, if the owner was available he would have made the situation righ!More

Hi Deidre, Good help is getting hard to find and your whole experience sounds very bad. I am going to leave you two gift tags (1 for your order being wrong and 1 for the fact that you had to drive back to fix it)....More

This section of Church Avenue is a one way street so you can park up to one hour on either side of the road. I have very rarely had problems but after driving around the block once, there were open spaces
