Had a lovely meal - great appetizer and yummy salad. The baked goods were delicious! The service, however, was the best part! Another patron had a problem with their meal and we overheard the care they took to make sure he was happy. Highly recommend!!

Stopped in for a mid-road-trip lunch break. We'd been here before many, many moons ago. Food was delicious as always. Son loved his coconut shrimp, however - daughter said her pasta with cheese was too buttery and didn't have enough cheese. After a taste of...it - she was correct in her assessment. Jason's Quesadillas were great! Spicy and sweet Wife's Acovado chicken sandwich on wheat was devoured. Brownies were the bomb! We each got different ones -- and somewhat shared with each other. parking - free lot bathrooms - clean service - super friendly food - delicious Would recommend - Highly Would re-patronize - When we get back that wayMore

Excellent!! Second time traveling and stopping at this little gem. Tried the fried Tomato with homemade pimento cheese on fresh sourdough bread. If you like a good crunch try the homemade potato chips,No grease. The coconut cake was light and delicious

I had found this restaurant while planning our stop in Roanoke. We found it and were seated promptly. The service was good but we ordered the wrong dishes. Not the restaurants fault. I ordered the fried oysters. Not what I expected. Chopped up oysters and...breaded and fried. No oyster taste. My wife ordered the Shrimp and Grits. Very spicy and lacking shrimp. The baked goods at the restaurant were superb. We had a brownie that was one of the best ever.More

My sister and husband were driving from Leesburg, VA to Knoxville, TN and as newly arrived residents of Roanoke, we looked for a great place to meet them for lunch on their way home. We saw the reviews of this wonderful restaurant and decided to...meet there. It's only 1.3 miles off I-81, so close for convenience. The food was outstanding! We were seated immediately, our order taken and served quickly and we all loved every bite! The fried green tomatoes, the homemade pimento cheese, the hand cut french fries were to die for! It was such a nice experience. As residents, we plan to go here often. There are a lot of things I still want to try. I give this restaurant a #10, thumbs up!More

Hollywood Restaurant looks like an old diner and the interior reinforces that impression. The parking area is small with some odd sloping spots. We were greeted promptly and led to a table. The service was up to scratch and sooo friendly. Food was delivered in...a timely manner, and plates were cleared from the table. The wine list is woefully inadequate. We ended up with a bottle of something red but it wasn’t very good. The food menu, on the other hand, is a pleasant surprise with quite a variety of options. We ordered three entrees and an appetizer and all were large portions. The Chesapeake bay fried oyster appetizer was mostly breading wrapped around very small oysters. It was our least favorite. The shrimp and grits was delicious but really spicy – which the waitress warned us about. The shrimp were cooked perfectly, and they were a nice size. The Catfish Matrimony was lightly fried served on southern grits with a creamy Cajun andouille and shrimp sauce and garnished with tomatoes and green onions was very tasty. It came with a side of some lightly sauteed vegetables which I could have eaten more of. The coconut shrimp were also large and were right up my spouse’s alley. The accompanying french fries were very good. We were stuffed by the end of the meal and ended up with several doggy bags.More

We like this place, and always stop here driving from Knoxville to DC. Yesterday we both ordered fried oysters, and we agreed that they were the worst we had ever been served....over battered, over cooked, tiny chewy nub of dried out meat...no redeeming attributes. Everything...else I have ever ordered here has been just fine.More

I wouldn't know about Thanksgiving day. Here is their number to call. 540-362-1812. If they are not open, do make an effort to come back and enjoy the food and people. Don't forget dessert! Mary W.

$9-$20 for a main meal covers it. It isn't too expensive. And yes it is frequently full, so it is best to book ahead, especially Friday nights and the weekends. Even during the week, it was very full when I've been there.
