Not the best place to eat. It smells musty inside and the chinese cuisine offered is not very tasty. Meat was very chewy and unappealing.

Just a quick note to say how much we have appreciated Fiji Island over the years. It has consistently been a delight to visit with Charlie. Thank you so much.

Legendary Roanoke stop--and the owners are selling/closing, so do seize on the opportunity to go! Step back into 60s/70s "Tiki" culture--enjoy the ambiance of the dark walls, red carpets, raised platforms for some seats, Hawaiian leis to wear, etc. Food is generally tasty and fresh with a bit of a Chinese flair. Recommend the hot and sour soup--just $1.50! Service... More

We had heard good things about this restaurant, and were anticipating a tropical Pacific Island experience! Have to admit, we were disappointed. The atmosphere was a bit kitschy, with black walls and red carpeting, but we did enjoy the large fish tank and some of the tropical decor. Little plastic Hawaiian leis awaited us at our table. My tropical drink... More

Shared a lovely dinner last night at this restaurant. We began with cocktails and the poo poo tray of shrimp, rib, a type of cheese puff and pork - all very fun to share. For our entrees we ordered shrimp and pork Hunan and it was absolutely delicious.

Nothing has changed. Just as enjoyable as when we used fake ID'S in high school to get those wonderful Fiji cocktails. The glasses are the same. The Puu Puu platter is the same. So is the Teriyaki steak, salad dressing and the décor. Charlie and his wife are still the same charming hosts. All in all, this place will bring... More

Average Polynesian and Chinese food in a so so atmosphere. It has been around for years but I think there are better choices in town. Not bad just not great.
