We were in Roanoke for a Board meeting and decided to stay an extra night in the Hotel Roanoke. We decided to dine in the Regency Room instead of going out to downtown restaurant. We are glad we stayed in the hotel. Henry at the...bar was entertaining and made great drinks. Brody waited on us for dinner. He too was entertaining and provided excellent service. The peanut soup, seafood bisque, and homemade bread were excellent starters. The filet and lamb were perfectly cooked and nicely seasoned, and the spoon bread melted in our mouths, but the green beans and risotto were over cooked and over seasoned. However, the crème brûlée was a great finale to an overall excellent meal. Also, the jazz trio playing in the dining room were very good and did not keep us from talking to each other.More

Return travel from visiting relatives, was not planning on stopping. But, since we were in the area, coupled with past experience, I decided to surprise my wife with the breakfast buffet in the Regency Room. We were not let down. Ambiance is impressive. Food is...exceptional. Service (Richard) is outstanding. Needless to say, the remainder of our 6 hour drive was "smooth sailing". Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area.More

A table for six was reserved via phone for a birthday brunch. As we were being seated at 10am, the waiter advised us to "get all that we wanted the first time through the buffet line as they would soon be taking up the food."...WHAT?! I was so embarrassed and hurt for the sweet hostess and for the ladies who had driven or flown in for my birthday. No amount of history or glitz can make up for ill-handling, bad manners and refusal to make up in kind for scheduling errors. We were treated as wanderers who stumbled in and needed to vacate as quickly as possible for regular guests.More

Stayed at the Hotel Roanoke and ate breakfast here. Wide selection of different breakfast foods. It was very good with excellent service.More

Even if you have Hilton coupons, the food on the buffet is not cooked well. Service is slower than slow in the morning. We were told not to order off the menu because it would take too long. There was a staff member standing near...the entrance of the buffet with her arms crossed and a frown looking over what guests were taking on the buffet. If she would have had a rifle, she would look like someone in the armed services!More

In all my trips to the Hotel Roanoke, this most recent trip was the first time I tried the Regency Room… Service was OUTSTANDING too! We came here for breakfast and one of us ordered from the menu while the other got their continental buffet....They have a decent menu to order from, with some options the full buffet doesn’t offer, like their Fried Egg & Andouille Sausage Hash, which was perfectly-prepared and full of flavor! Their coffee is decent. The fruits on their buffet were mostly unripe though. Their parfait on the buffet was too sweet and didn’t taste very fresh as well. Like I said, service was GREAT and the place is BEAUTIFUL! Definitely worth stopping in!!More
