Great food and specials. Priced mid range but not cheap. Very friendly. Can get noisy. Great wine list. Wonderful sidewalk tables in season. Great for business, family or secret date. Casual but some guests decked out and some a bit dodgy.

The few times I have dined at Il Fornaio, I have loved the food, service and ambiance. Each time was a larger group work lunch and we were all satisfied with our meals.

Fine food if you are a fan of different classic Italian regional cuisines. The rack of lamb with a pecorino crust was medium rare and perfect with al dente vegetables and crispy potatoes. I loved the chocolate torte - deep and dense.
