We were greeted by the pleasant host and recommended to take a table outside as it was a lovely hot summer day. We tried a local Pinot Gris which was lovely. The prawn starter ( can't remember the name) was crisp, fresh and fried goodness. I had the beef salad which packed a punch of flavours and was very fresh,... More

Many thanks for taking the time to pass on your positive comments. We have been working hard to improve the outdoor dining experience and we are getting many comments about the beautiful garden and butterflies. The recent addition of large garden tables and umbrellas has enhanced the covered deck area and our resident pianists add another level to the whole... More

We were recommended this place by the people at our fantastic Airbnb. The food was good. We enjoyed the money bags and satay chicken for entrees. The Massaman beef curry was great and the stir fry chicken with chili and cashew nuts was good. The negative was the roti bread. The restaurant had been really busy all night and did... More

Many thanks for your comments, both good and bad. You are right that it was a very busy night and we were awaiting the next batch of rice. If you do come back please feel free to mention this and we will arrange a replacement for your roti. The chefs are very experienced Thai chefs and are pleased to receive... More

Delightful Thai restaurant with friendly and good service. Food was excellent! Mixed starter and the Molten Volcano was Fantastic! Throughly enjoyed it. Be prepared to be patient as the food took a while to come but was thoroughly worth it!

Our chefs are very experienced, from North East Thailand and have worked hard to create a diverse and tasty menu. Chang Siam has gradually got busier and busier and, at peak times, there is sometimes a little dleay and we thank you for your patience. Mnay thanks for confirming that the end result was worth waiting for! Kind regards More

The decor recreated the experience of being in Thailand. The room is decorated in Thai relics and wonderful music played throughout our dinner. We were also able to order Chang, Singha and Tiger beer that is from Thailand. The food was well presented but the flavour was disappointing. The Pad Thai was a little sweet and didn't have very many... More

One word - Amazing. The food is outstanding here especially the prawn and cheese rolls as an entree and the chilli jam duck for main course. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be back again.

Description
Chang Siam Thai Restaurant is set in beautiful countryside in Kerikeri and is just a few minutes walk from the 'world famous in Kerikeri' Rainbow Falls. The Head Chef grew up cooking with his mum in Thailand and he and his Thai team create the most delicious authentic Thai cuisine. The chefs blend authentic Thai flavours to create sensational dishes and offer a “chef’s special” menu, which is immensely popular. There is an extensive vegetarian section and also Thai dishes for young adults. The extensive wine list is professionally matched to Thai food and is competitively priced. Lunches, takeaway and dinners available every day except Tuesday.Service is a top priority for the whole team and the restaurant has already become widely known for both its outstanding food and attentive (but not intrusive) staff. The whole atmosphere is enhanced by a pleasant décor, live jazz music on Friday nights.
