We dined recently at Grazing on Saturday night. It was a great experience of local food and wine. The two course option for $50 was outstanding value. Our mains and desserts were sublime. The local wines were well selected and proven a fine complement to the barramundi and beef dishes respectively. The restaurant is set in the old hotel, and... More

Get out of the city, sit near an open fire and enjoy a fantastic meal with exceptional service and relaxing surrounds. Just make sure you leave room for desserts!!!

Gundaroo is about an hour out of Canberra. Set on a significant property with a fabulous kitchen garden, the restaurant is a blend of new and old architecture. Grazing is delightfully quirky with art on the walls for sale and has excellent food. The waiting staff were attentive and friendly and service was good

We had an excellent experience at Grazing for lunch yesterday. There were 10 of us and we ended up having a private room which was perfect for the long lunch we were wanting. Every single meal that came out was beautifully presented and tasted delicious. Not one person was disappointed with the food. We all had two courses and ended... More

Wifes birthday time to find a decent, different, nice, memorable restaraunt! She finds it and a short drive for a 1 o'clock meal and we arrive.. In short, an awesome meal ( best barrmundi ever) dessert, wine and beer all lend to a memorable occasion. Now don't listen to the whingers, SMH type food snobs, drag your well deserving tummy and... I had no expectations of this place. We were visiting family in Canberra and they booked lunch for our group of eight. I expected a pub with good nosh. Wrong. You enter the village of Gundaroo and take a step back to the 19th century. A couple of hundred metres on is the old Royal Hotel. Parking is easy. You... More

This was the first time i had visited Grazing. Well worth it! The staff were amazing, so friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere was absolutely within keeping of the surrounding town and buildings. The inside was beautifully presented and clean. Nicely set out separate dining rooms created a sense of privacy without having to dine in an open seating space. Fireplaces,... More

About 25 mins out of Canberra its an excellent spot for dinner. Well prepared and excellent meals with a wide selection. Wine list could be a bit more extensive but its not to bad. We get the BusMe company to take us out there so everyone could have a drink. Well worth it and not expensive.

Thank Adrian N
