Took my wife here for breakfast so we could whale watch during our meal, We were not disappointed.. Great view of the ocean and we saw breaching whales over our eggs. I have had dinner here as well (in July) and food and service is very good. Prices are a little high, but fair for the quality of food and... More

We did have several meals here, mainly because it was located beside our hotel and there wasn't much else within walking distance. It was fine, but after a couple of meals, there wasn't anything else we really wanted to try. Staff friendly, but we thought there was a bit of upselling each time.

Was staying with wifey in Hanua Kai resort so one night, feeling lazy, we booked a table at Dukes and invited a couple of friends to join us. Setting is great - open restaurant and bar right on the beach front where we watched the sunset while enjoying a pre-dinner cocktail by the bar. It can get quite busy so... More

Had seen good reviews on Dukes so went to dinner on a beautiful Maui evening. We had a 5:00pm reservation so we could see the sunset and were seated just inside the restaurant with a great view. Our server, Astrid, was excellent and guided us through the options. I ordered a snapper special which was excellent and my wife a... More

We were in Kapalua and met friends who were staying in Kannapali for dinner. Nice casual atmosphere where service was good. Views were good. Good history on "The Duke". Food was average and of good value for Maui.

The setting is beautiful in addition to excellent food. The Hula pie is a must have, enough for two, and free the next time you dine at Dukes. It is available on the beach walk so no need to drive if on Kaanapali beach. Staff are prompt and friendly. One of our favorite places to eat while in Maui.

A nice location, which is run by a big corporation. Swarms of tie and jacket types survey the restaurant and the clothing store at the entrance confirms that you are not going to the spot where the locals go. The food is expensive, The atmosphere is synthesized by some big design firm and the ultimate experience is completely unauthentic and... More

Oceanside dining, but not right on the beach. Hubby and I both had the Shrimp and Crab Salad and it was very, very good. Fresh, crisp greens with plenty of shrimp and lump crab. Highly recommend it for a light lunch.
