Good sandwich for lunch. This is a local cafe and I was glad for the recommendation I actually took my food to go and ate at the ward on a beautiful day.

We ate here while on vacation. It was a place recommended by a friend who lives in Onancock. We had lunch here. The service was good. The food was good. I had a salad and it was massive. It is not a very big place. Nice quaint atmosphere. When we left there was a downpour and I got drenched going... More
Great sandwiches and salads served in a friendly and casual setting on red and white checked tablecloths. Massive portions were easily shared. While I'm not certain, I would bet the meats on our delicious sandwiches were cooked on site. Our companions enjoyed a Cesar salad loaded with jumbo shrimp. Highly recommended!
This is a locally owned and operated stor in the beautiful and Quaint town of Onancock. As you stroll through Historic Onancock, be sure to have breakfast and/or lunch at Janet's Onancock General Store and Cafe. I think breakfast is my favorite but it is a hard call as the lunches are fab.

Delicious! My husband had a Rueben and gave me a bite. Unctuous, warm and yummy. All the cooking is done with fresh vegetables and you can... More
We have been once, off-season on a Sunday, and the place was mobbed, deservedly. The coffee ran out, we waited 20 minutes for service and 40 minutes fir food, but it was worth the wait.
Your visit to Onancock, Virginia would not be complete without a leisurely breakfast at Janet's Onancock General Store & Café. The decor is bright, sunny and red! Even on a dull rainy morning, the whole café is bright and cheerful! Green Mountain coffee is served piping hot at a self-serve counter in real mugs. An array of eggs, oatmeal, French... More
Janet's is the kind of place that makes you feel like you're a regular, even if it's your first time there. My friends and I stop there every year to and from the beach. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Janet herself always stops to shoot the breeze with us and pick ups right where we left off. The food... More
