This nice bistro dining place is located at the wharf to Iceberg Quest Ocean tours. It has a very nice classy setting and large windows overlooking the harbour. Food was very good. Home made soup was delicious. The menu offers great seafood choices including lobsters as well. It was good for family dining or just a couple to enjoy a... More

We had included a visit to this restaurant on our itinerary as we had read about it in the CAA magazine. When we checked in it at our B&B (All Seasons which I have reviewed as well and highly recommend), we were delighted to find that the restaurant was a five minute walk down the road. We had made a... Our greeting upon walking in, instead of hello or even a friendly smile, was "we don't really serve fried food". I guess because my boyfriend and I look fairly young (I'm 31 years old) that means we must only eat McDonalds? Anyway, the server continued on to say that they served things like sandwiches, wraps, etc. We replied that was... More

We enjoyed the view and friendly service. The food was a treat - locally caught and prepared seafood was first class. Even though the restaurant was busy, the staff still made time to chat and answer questions about the food and the area. Reservations highly recommended.

This restaurant came highly recommended to us. It is very popular and it is best to make a reservation. We did not have one and when we showed up at the door we were asked to return a few hours later. We found the food nice enough - the mussels particularly so, but as my husband is allergic to crustaceans... More

We decided to save ourselves for one seafood meal in Newfoundland. We were lucky to find this place and it did not disappoint. We couldn't get enough of the food which is made fresh every day. If you have a chance to visit Twillingate make sure you stop off at this place for a bite to eat. I will definitely... More

Found the Canvas Cove Bistro from the article in the Fall 2016 CAA magazine. The restaurant is a fairly new retrofit from a previous panini shop. The new owner overhauled the place into a very pleasant bistro. The menu changes everyday and I still have not gotten over the Mussel appetizer. It was delicious and I counted over 35 mussels... I'm a french guy from Québec travelling on my motorcycle, Twillingate is a must see. After taking few shots of the sunset I drove to this small bistro by the marina and asked for a hot chocolate. I was offered delicious lobsters and a cabin to stay for the cold night... I'm very grateful to your team, you people are... More

I visited Canvas Cove Bistro during a quick trip to Twillingate. It had only been open 12 weeks. The location on the water is overly and decor is simple, clean and welcoming. I had the fish soup, which was a meal in itself. Others had lobster that night which was apparently fantastic. The desserts were housemade and definitely worth the... More
