We ordered some naughty, late night desserts online about 20 minutes before they closed but they still delivered when they promised after hours. The chap who dropped our food off was lovely and the treats were super. I’ll definitely use them again.

Ordered few times on Just eat as Always quality food arrived now fast delivery always polite well worth it. Really enjoy desserts from here and we are repeat customers now. Nothing beats a treat

Excellent food and service

Have been to the resteraunt many times and always enjoy the food. The staff are very polite and friendly and the resteraunt is very clean. My daughter especially loves the waffles and the ice cream is delicious. Due to covid we ordered online for delivery today which was very easy to do and pay online. The delivery was very prompt and food very much enjoyed at home.

Rubbery food, rude staff!

Me & my friend went to Gelato last night, we ordered 2 crepes with melted chocolate and strawberries on, we were then told it was £7.50 each (rip off for what we received!). We were asked if we wanted to dine in or take out by a very rude young girl who was serving us. We said we would take away, we were then rudely told to go wait outside (in the pouring rain, there was no other customers in the shop so we could of stuck to social distancing) and someone would bring the crepes straight out to us. We waited for 25 minutes for our crepes before I eventually went back in to see what was taking so long (baring in mind there was 5-6 staff members in the shop). We were given our crepes and went home to eat them, we opened the box to 2 soggy rubbery crepes that had no flavour at all, instead of the melted chocolate that we had asked and paid for, we were given chocolate sauce which you would put on an ice cream and minimal strawberries. Would not recommend to my worst enemy such a waste of money! We were absolutely disgusted at how rude the staff were and how bland/rubbery the food was! Bad service, bad food, rude staff!

Wanted a treat - received a let down !

Ordered 3 Biscoff cheesecakes as a little treat having had some in the summer that I loved. Arrived within half an hour but it was absolutely awful - strange consistency and no flavour; just dry and powdery. My 10 yr old actually asked “why is it like a sponge?”. I can only hope this is not their usual recipe and they mistakenly sent vegan cheesecake ? otherwise they have simply sucked every bit of flavour out of what was once a delicious cheesecake.

Hi, We are really sorry for the disappointment . we are 100% sure we haven't changed any recipe and i am guessing as you said some one must have sent the vegan ones. as we were so busy and we were trailing new people on the shift we completely apologies for that. I went to this place Sunday evening and I bought two scoops - one raspberry (which was white?) and one chocolate, and it was awful, I had to throw both away, couldn’t stand it. Certainly not gelato as Italy would be turning in its grave knowing this cheap and bad quality ice cream was being produced. Then I left a review on google - in which I was called a liar and that I never even went to the shop! Well, I hope this more detailed review proves to you I was. I have attached their response on this post. Also what was more shocking, is I paid £4.98 for two small scoops of awful, bad flavourings filled and artificial colourings loaded rubbish. Do not go. Use quality gelato and learn how to do ice cream with honour and pride!

HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!

Im not one to EVER complain but this was the first time (and the last) I have ordered from this place. 2 hours it took to deliver the items I ordered. I called and they told me it would be 5 mins. 25 mins passed and still not delivery. I called again and asked for a refund to be told no and it would be with me within 10 mins. 30 mins passed and I was about to call when I got a call and the driver needed directions which took another 10 mins. For then the driver to not wear a mask or even attempt to social distance. And on top of that they gave me the wrong order. Horrible service!!

Heaven on Earth for folks with a sweet tooth!

My mum and sister took my children and nephew here for a treat after visiting Pontefract Castle (its just a short walk up the hill past the bus station on a street just off the main precinct in town). They had a fantastic experience there and because I was so sad I didn’t get to try it, we ordered it again the week after! This time we ordered online and my sister and husband went to collect it. When our order arrived I was so amazed at the presentation even though we hadn’t sat down in the shop. They have cute little GC wafers as extra decorations on their ice cream. Their cookie doughs are absolutely delicious, the biscoffi cheesecake was to die for and their gelato and ice cream is out of this world!!! We will definitely be back!!!! We only just moved to Darrington so we are customers for life now!

Ice Cream choices weren’t available. We couldn’t use our taste card despite its use being advertised on the Taste Card App and website. Even the owner was called who told his employee that they weren’t taking them at the moment. Ended up having to have cones. It was ok but not the best. We won’t be back.

We ordered for the first time today. The waffles are amazing. The strawberry one needed a bit more chocolate sauce, but thats just my preference. The oreo one was spot on. The kids loved them. We will be seeing you again. Thanks

Don’t order from this place.

We have just ordered food to be delivered. We have waited 50 mins with no sign of delivery. When we telephoned all we got was you will have to sort out with Deliveroo not our problem as we have closed for delivery. They are not interested and don’t appear to want to sort out so this doesn’t happen again. Very poor customer service. Do not order from this place.
