The Forester’s arms is a classic English pub. The beer is well kept, the welcome friendly and the facilities unfussy. There is limited food but a great garden for spring and summer evenings and dogs are welcome.

Thank you for taking the time to review us !! We have been without a chef for a few months but will have some news on our website about an exciting new food offering very soon.

Reasonable food but nothing spectacular. Beef was tender but too red for my liking. All food was served on plates rather than serving dishes so you were not given a selection of vegetables. Veg was cauliflower, peas and a swede/carrot mash along with pickled cabbage....More

Thank you for taking the time to post a review of The Foresters . We are sorry that you did not like the way our Sunday Roast is served, we find that most customers enjoy their vegetable selection served on a hot plate with the...More

OK so I live nearby as do most of the customers and we all talk to each other, share the same values and hope it never closes.

Don't expect false beaming smiles and an insincere 'have a nice day', do expect good honest food and drink in a proper English pub.

This pub survives because it has the right blend of staff, customers, beers and food. From the moment when you enter from the pretty tidy front garden or from the large beer garden at the rear you step into a darker interior laced with a...More

First time visit with the family and fortunate to be able to enjoy Sunday lunch in the beer garden. Children's menu crowd pleasers well executed and good portions. Adult food terrific value, I've had so many over priced mediocre Sunday roasts at posh pubs that...More

We gave a review of this pub 3 years ago entitled Great pub grub. The chef has updated the menu and the food now is so much more than "pub grub". The nachos are nothing like any nachos you'll have had before. They are proper...More
