We had a super meal here - choosing the four course Summer menu for Saturday lunch. The service was very good and welcoming - not too pretentious. The meals were superb - especially the scallops.

Food is out of this world! Really stunningly imaginative menus and wonderfully attentive service from staff. We keep going back and have never been disappointed. Brilliant prices for the quality of food on offer. Not surprised that this restaurant attracts folks down from London.

One doesn't get to dine, these days, at a Michelin starred/ 3 rosette restaurant spending £45 a head including wine. It's a timbered roof 18th century building done very stylishly inside. The service is very professional and polite and the food is incredible.

We came here for our 26th wedding anniversary. As residence of Horsham we have frequented Tristan's and found the quality of cooking to be consistently high. This is backed by an excellent sommelier who ensures the perfect wines for each course. As a fine dining...More

My friends and I visited the restaurant yesterday. I was disappointed that the vegetarian 8 course menu was pretty much the same as for the meat and fish eaters, but with the expensive ingredients omitted. 2 courses included goats cheese. I had expected something more...More

As a Michelin star restaurant this one misses the mark. We had the 4 course from the black menu. The first two courses acceptable, but unfortunately the main was below standard. The Suckling Pig, etc, was more like Pork Belly, tepid in temperature as though...More

No specific parking but plenty of public car parking close by. There are disabled parking places in town if needed.

Description
Housed in a 16th Century building in the historic town of Horsham, Restaurant Tristan opened in 2008 and has been a firm favourite with local foodies ever since. Inside, original wooden beams contrast with contemporary style to create an intimate setting for lunch or dinner. Chef and Proprietor Tristan Mason worked in top restaurants like The Greenhouse and Mirabelle before becoming Head Chef at The Hare where he achieved his first Michelin Star. The menu at Restaurant Tristan is predominantly British with some creative French influences, with dishes like terrine of pheasant and turbot with truffle risotto taking centre stage. Ingredients are locally sourced wherever possible and the extensive wine list is designed to complete this truly unforgettable dining experience.
