Had a take away from here last night ,chicken tikka jaipur. Chips,keema nan. Curry watery and tasteless Chips hard and dry. Nan soggy, MOVED INTO THE TOILET AS SPENT ALL DAY IN THERE. STOMACH CRAMPS TODAY. NEVER AGAIN.

Everything you want from a Balti house. Always a great welcome and service. Great atmosphere on a Friday and Saturday night. But every table always goes quiet when the food arrives, because it's that good. So much to recommend, especially the tandoori chicken, Sanam Biryani,...Dansak and family Naan. Take your own booze too. Eat in or take away - I won't go anywhere elseMore

I used to live in Cannock although now live on the south coast. Whenever I’m back I always enjoy visiting the Sanam, delicious food, generously portioned, everything very reasonable. Highly recommended

Visit here all the while, love the food and if I’m fancying something different they can always recommend and cook to your liking. Friendly staff and always made welcome

Sadly very disappointed , regularly used the San Am and loved it ,but last night it was a shambles from start to finish , table booked months ago and waited 20 mins only for them to say our table was ready 🤷 , food was...awful came out 5 mins apart , did have an apology due to a large party but we went on the last new year Eve before lockdown and same busy but food excellent and service too, don't know what's gone on but won't returnMore

We have visited the Sanam for twenty five years. Last visit tonight. Decore now very bright. No table cloths now. Food ok but nothing to shout about now. Other customers were very rowdy and eary doors at 8pm, long finished meals and carried on drinking...glasses smashed. One of the party was sick at the table. Manager did not intervene. We paid bill at the desk and left sharpish as we felt very uncomfortable. Shame, but would not visit again and would no longer reccomend this place to anyone.More

We were really excited to see vegan menu and ordered a few options. So disappointed when they arrived, bland and looked the same despite different dishes. Threw most of it away and will not be using again.

Had a takeaway last night. Not good. Too much tomato in every dish. Would not have another takeaway from there

We ordered for 5 of us as we fancied a change. The Veg Biriani sauce was tomatoey and watery and tasteless. The rice looked amazing but had no taste. Same with the dopiaza and madras. Same tomato flavoured watery sauce. Just awful. Gutted.

Have had takeways from here before and they were ok but last nights was awful. We ordered half portions of both our dishes. All were cold and my husbands contained just three small pieces of chicken. Mine was larger but the chicken was tough and...the naan bread was totally insipid. Most of it ended in the bin. Won't be using it again.More

Amazing food, front of house had great knowledge of the menu and recommended a lovely curry for my dad and amazing such service 10/10 haven’t been for ages but definitely coming back!!!
