Challenging access so take care but well worth the effort. Prior booking recommended as it is a long way to go if fully booked. We were four adults and all food was very tasty and the house red & white wine was delicious. Staff were really friendly and went out of their way to look after everyone.. Highly recommend and... Not the easiest of places to get to, about 3km down a dirt track. The village is being regenerated and the restaurant is the heartbeat. Great local food and home made bread. The prices were reasonable and the place can get quite busy, especially at the weekends and holidays. The village is very popular with hill walkers who invariably finish... More

This restaurant is well worth a visit the food is stunning and the portions are huge. We were a mixed family group and particularly enjoyed the homemade bread and the Wild boar and port ribs. the salad was also amazing as were the desserts. the service was good and the prices reasonable. It is a lovely spot we would definitely... More

A great choice of local cuisine combined with professional friendly service. Homemade bread is great with their olive oil.

Walked a couple of miles along a beautiful road/ track to the small village that had been abandoned until 1998 having been cleared by Franco in the 1940s . Friendly staff- Our Family shared starters - black sausage, green peppers and spinach croquettes- with a homemade loaf of bread - delicious. Main courses roast lamb, chicken in spicy yoghurt and... I came here for lunch and I loved everything about this restaurant. Firstly, the location although a little hard to reach is well worth the drive. The menu includes a little bit of history about the place which was very nice to read. Everything is written in both Spanish and English. The waiters were very kind and helpful when explaining... We walked along what is a pretty treacherous road to this stunning place but were 100% rewarded with stunning views and spectacular food. The service was a bit slow and it wasn't particularly busy but this is one of my new favourite places to come. The food was literally amazing accompanied by lovely home made bread. What a great find... More

After a stunning walk from Frigiliana, we walked down to the Hidden Village for a pre-arranged lunch. Good for vegetarians - warm home-made crusty bread dipped into a plate of olive oil and herbs, chick-pea and lentil spicy soup. Then poor-man's potatoes which were delicious. A peaceful, beautiful place to sit before a look in the little shop and a... More

A gem of a restaurant in an exquisite, restored 'lost village'. Access is via either a long walk, or a drive down an unmade road which is not for the faint-hearted, but either is well worth the effort (there are several park-and-walk options on the way)! A meal with a view - both superb! Our favourites were the Harari Moroccan... More
