I ate solo at the bar - got there good and early so I could chat with the staff and learn more about the place. It was a short walk from my B&B at the edge of the Freemason neighborhood. Drinks were great - I saw a lot of people have retro cocktails and watched them being made - I... More

Sherry the Innkeeper at Freemason recommended Voila. We elected to sit at bar and order some apps and custom cocktails. The service was very professional and the food was excellent. This is a really good restaurant with great service and food, the next time in Norfolk we will sit at a table and enjoy the full experience. Harvey & Michelle... More

One of the best upscale restaurants in the area. My wife and I visited Voila for the first time during Restaurant Week. They are a small but well appointed restaurant that you might overlook. Once in the front door, you're treated to old-world style courtesy not seen in many restaurants today. The staff seems to care that customers are treated... More

Every year we stay at the Freemason Inn B&B (see our review nearby) and have dinner at Voila. Even though it's next door, it would definitely be worth a detour -- and it has its own paring lot. We were there for restaurant week, but the menu choices were excellent; only the price reflected the promotion. Food and service were... More

Had dinner here tonight for my birthday. The ambience, music, waiter and food was wonderful. There was 4 of us and we ate a great variety of food. Greek salad, Roasted Beet Salad, Mussels, Pasta Primavera, Duck, Lamb and Salmon - which I will personally say is delish. 3 glasses of wine plus one bottle of wine, Crème Brulee and... More

The interior of this place is tiny, but don't let that deter you. Make a reservation or go on a Monday when wines are half off. The food is mostly French, with a few other cultures thrown in. I've never been disappointed in a meal here. The lamb lollipops are great, the escargot: amazing, nice cocktail list to boot. The... More

Located across from "The Hague" in Norfolk, Voila is far enough from downtown to not be part of the Norfolk scene, but far enough away to have it's own identity. It's easy to miss, because it's a small location, but therein is the charm. From the outside, it looks like a retail outlet, but they have their own parking, facing... More

This is our special Norfolk continental gourmet restaurant for special occasions. It is unfortunate that they are closed on Sundays, when many special dates fall. Though tiny, this is a wonderful venue for a fine meal, especially French fare.

We visited a couple that live in the "area," and they took us to one of their favorite restaurants, Voila. I would describe the restaurant as being "intimate" and with a lot of "atmosphere." There are not a lot of tables, and it is very quiet, that is, except for the music playing in the background. If we lived in... More

My husband and I often go to Voila on date night, as we have had such an amazing experience. First of all, the customer service is phenomenal. We drop our kids at the babysitter, which is close by, and often don't make plans in advance. Once, they had many people going to the opera afterwards and were quite busy. They... More

Description
Tucked into a corner of Botetourt and & York Street, Voila, with it's soft lighting and eclectic decor, is a local gem. The restaurant sits tucked away in one of the city's oldest historic neighborhoods, complete with cobblestone streets and some of the few surviving antebellum houses on the side of the Elizabeth River. With a full bar and known for its three-course prix-fixe, Voila's menu features fresh ingredients & home-grown herbs. Voila boasts an impressive selection of international, French, & Greek dishes, incorporated together by the owners, Hampton Roads restaurateurs John & Maggie Tsouris. As well as Hand crafted cocktails concocted with vintage liqueurs and spirits, fresh squeezed juices and homegrown herbs. Voila is a local's favorite and must try authentic cuisine.
