We spontaneously stayed at Relax Leuca for lunch. They served us refreshing drinks, savoury anchovis in oil, a delicious seafood platter and a nice dessert with a perfect caffè to top it off - all of it in their attentive, galant manner. And with the view of the vastness of the Mediterranean between Europa and Africa before our eyes. We hope to return!

What can I say, more than a normal dinner, it was a rare experience.
As rare as the incredible hospitality of the owners, who immediately put us at ease by offering us a prosecco. Rare because we felt at home, even though it was the first time we went, rare because the food was all excellent, the waiters were young but kind and knowledgeable, even the price seemed modest to us. We didn't believe a place managed in this way existed, especially in such a popular holiday resort.
I can only congratulate them, and tell them that we will certainly return to visit them.

Ristorante/ Purtroppo pessima esperienza.
Based on the reviews we expected better, maybe too much. In the octopus salad, the octopus was half cooked, wasn't washed properly (sand), and not cut properly since we found the beak. The Tataki Tuna was just salt.
On the plus side, the Agrodolce salad was really good. Prices were reasonable.
Although the location is very nice I wouldn't go back, they are so many other locations on the water front.

We booked this place because of the excellent reviews, both the indisputable beauty of the place and the food, which others said was excellent. Let me start by saying that we are lovers of excellent food, we eat for taste and not out of hunger. Excellent welcome, they offered us 2 glasses of prosecco. Mid-August dinner for 40 euros with limited choice of only 2 starters, 2 first courses, 2 second courses, 2 desserts. We begin to order, having only 2 options of choices we decided to taste both menus, but we were immediately told that one of the 2 starters was finished. So we only took one. The first courses arrive, the cooking of the pasta is acceptable, inedible without any flavour, I had to read the menu again to find out the ingredients. At that point, I decided not to continue with the dinner and to cancel the rest. My husband persevered, he also took the second roasted octopus (only on paper, it was reheated), it tasted bad. So we decided to cancel dessert too. We pointed out that everything was inedible, they apologized and were amazed because in any case I also saw that the other diners left nothing on their plates, in my opinion only out of hunger because given the time of 11.30pm, moving to change places wasn't easy. . Not to mention the incorrect bill. More than terrible experience.

Despite the reservation, waiting for 20 minutes to get the table. Then another long wait for orders. Starters of satisfactory quality were served in adequate time after ordering. Next very long wait of 180 minutes!! on the two first courses ordered (scialatielli) of which only one arrived at the table already lukewarm, almost cold, finally after a further wait of 20 minutes also the second course ordered, fortunately not cold, reached our table thanks to the grace received. Very simple matter .. the location is beautiful, just like you imagine a seaside restaurant in summer.
The excellent reception creates very high expectations, as well as the kindness of the waiters during the service.
However, the first problems arise when choosing dishes. Many things on the menu at 9 pm are already finished, a simple dish with clams can not be made and I am told to call in advance for such “specific” requests.

Fixed stop every time I pass through Leuca. The lido with restaurant is located on the sea. The evening is a very suggestive place with romantic lighting and the moon over the sea.
The owner welcomes you with a welcome drink and "forces" you to follow an iron rule: smile, always smile and leave the problems out for an evening.

After this brief introduction, yesterday 12 August 2023 after having booked a dinner at this beach, as soon as we arrived we were greeted by a gentleman (I assume the owner) who kindly offered us a glass of bubbles, too bad that my girlfriend got the bottom of the bottle trimmed (out of breath at the sight) after the same prosecco is offered to me first!
This is a big flaw because the first impression is fundamental as well as synonymous with good manners and education.
Beyond what is stated, the menu has very few varied dishes but all in all decent although the prices are high and salty with small and not very tasty portions.
I would aim much more to take care of many aspects, especially in a very popular tourist area such as Salento.

The place is lovely but the cuisine is to be forgotten. The first courses were literally inedible.

Very informal and quiet place. Young and friendly staff, fresh and pleasant food.
Grilled seafood was satisfying, as was the grilled octopus, perhaps the peppered mussels a little less so.
The artisanal spumone filled with caramelized mandarin is also interesting. Very honest price and they even offered us limoncello! Highly recommended!

Very intimate and beautiful location which reflects the name of the place, the owner welcomed us with a unique introduction. Very professional and customer-focused staff, good value for money but in my opinion the portions are not very generous, very varied and detailed menu. I was very satisfied, absolutely worth trying.

A lovely evening hosted by Giuseppe and a truly relaxing one. A superb location, delicious food made with quality ingredients and a gracious host. Both the grilled seafood and the fried seafood were superbly prepared and delicious. As was the octopus and the totano / squid.

It is a challenge to find the beach bar, but once you’re seated, you feel like in heaven on the beach. Food is great value for money, though simple. Tasteful dishes are served by friendly and helpful staff.
