An intimate restaurant almost hidden in a Fisherman's Cabin , you have to slide the glass door to enter a world a little "brick to brac" but very welcoming. On the plate, elaborate dishes, I really liked the hot oysters with leek fondue and dessert with gingerbread and fig.
The champagne served in champagne glasses gives a nostalgic Rating and the rosé wine with pitcher is excellent.
A very good address in Grand Village Plage on the Ile d’Oleron with an exceptional Value for Money Award.

Always pleasant to return to this warm place with this breathtaking view of the salt marsh when you arrive on the Island. There was just one small place left inside ouff. I had a sparkling aperitif, hot oysters, sweetbreads and to finish the cheese plate with a glass of red wine, everything was divine and prepared with this love of French gastronomy. Beautiful presentation of the dishes. Attentive and friendly staff. Of course prices have increased but hey what isn’t increasing today. Keep it up, it's always perfect. See you soon .

From the very friendly welcome to the dessert, everything was perfect. The duck ravioli and fish carpaccio starters were divine and we were lucky enough to be offered two hot oysters before the starters as a discovery when we had exchanged with the waiter that we did not like these little animals.
Afterwards, the octopus with lentils amazed us confirming an information from our wine merchant in Dolus-d’Oléron d’oleron (vine counter). Finally the cheese plate was excellent and the French toast to fall. An address to recommend at all Awards.

It is a pity the waiters‘ main aim is efficiency and not hospitality. The waiting staff let the cooking down completely. We tried to order a drink 3 times on arrival but were told it was ‘someone else’s job’. The food in the main was well thought through and tasty, wine menu offered good choice. I could not recommend this restaurant as the staff were so dreadful and unhelpful to the point of being rude. A basic requisite in a restaurant should surely be customer service? None in evidence here.

What is going on ?
For 15 years we have been staying several times a year on the island of Oléron, we have had lunch or dinner at the Relais des Salines many times and have always been fully satisfied.
But the !!!
The vol au vent was particularly bland and the sweetbreads almost non-existent!!
What a disappointment both in terms of quality and quantity, as for the price it does not correspond at all to the service.
This restaurant needs to get its act together.
Concerning the Bip Michelin it is really overrated.

We regularly come for lunch in this restaurant in the heart of the salt flats.
Welcome always at the top, remember to book because the restaurant is regularly full.
The service is friendly, the menu changes regularly and the products are very fresh.
All our dishes were hearty and the mix of flavors was balanced. The cooking of the fish and octopus was a success. The revisited lemon tart allowed us to finish on a fresh note.
We will come back for sure.

No menu, only a la carte.
Tasty dishes as well as excellent desserts. But a main course + dessert = 28€ if we add a hot oyster starter for example = 42€. A little expensive.

What happiness! We hadn't been there in 3 years and the quality is still there! Small menu , a guarantee of freshness and quality , exceptional flavors , the dishes are as beautiful as good! Also animals are welcome even large ones, just notify them at the time of online Reservation. The service is discreet , the staff smiling. So we come back this week to close the holidays.

As the proverb says ‘Never judge a book by its cover’. And this superb restaurant is testament to this. Once inside, the layout has a lovely terrace kept draft-free by a glass balustrade and an elegant interior.
Our lunch aperitif was house champagne served in glamorous coupes, a great appetiser. We had a Gazpacho , cucumber & avocado, and quenelles of langoustines. Both of us feasted on the tasty pollock seated on a piped gnocchi base. For dessert the tarte au citron was delicious.
Service was friendly and efficient and our wine, Menetou-Salon, excellent. We booked and the restaurant was full, turning away several hopeful parties.
Overall, a brilliant, heart-warming experience.

The setting is already great, on the small port of Salines, too bad it was too cool to eat on the terrace, but the room has a view of the marshes and the viaduct. The welcome is simple and warm, without fuss, just like the table with the checkered napkin of our childhood! The menu is indeed small but sufficient and attractive. I took the marinated hake and asparagus tempura, succulent, and the pollack with cabbage and andouille sausage, a surprising combination but the flavors and textures go well together. And the dessert, the Bavarian with pineau and strawberries, very delicate, all of unfailingly fresh. The wine list is also interesting. In short, I had a good time and I enjoyed myself, thank you!

Magnificent location, view of the marshes from the room where we are comfortably installed. Lean semi-cooked starter, really excellent. A little disappointed by the octopus cooked in stew on lentils because it unfortunately lost all consistency and no crunch to look for on the side of the lentils to balance the dish. Slightly simple zucchini to accompany red mullet.
Overall decent desserts but a downside on the lemon tart.
So it’s okay even if it lacks a bit of pep as I’ve read elsewhere.

A very charming place in a green cabin at the end of the quay.
It offers a superb location with a view of the salt pans and nature, and a beautiful terrace under shade.
I would call the cuisine delicate and precise. You can of course choose simplicity with the oysters, but also have the fish of the day or a surprising lemon tart.
Fair selection of wines.
its a small place so it is highly recommended to book in advance .
There are plenty of parking spaces but it is also located on a bike lane.

Beautiful fishing Cabin by a marine lake, efficient and welcoming service, exclusive fish and shellfish, everything was there for a successful lunch. From the unmissable and delicious hot oysters to the sublime lemon pie very happily revisited, the only downside is to debit the main course where the fish was slightly overcooked. But this did not spoil our very favourable overall Impression.

very nice setting in the middle of the marshes, ideal for a cycling break. short menu which demonstrates fresh home cooking; and a chef who was able to adapt to a guest intolerant to iodine (so the entire menu!!!!) by offering an off-menu starter (asparagus in tempura) and a meat dish. welcome, kindness and subtle tastes. booking is recommended !

We were happy to come back to this restaurant where traditionally a few years ago we celebrated the end of summer. The place is always magical but we were disappointed by the cuisine and service. The dishes are very good but the presentation is less original and there is not this mixture of flavors that we expect. The fish was slightly overcooked and the octopus lacked taste. But the dessert was perfect. The service lacks attention and does not seem up to a Michelin bib. But it was perhaps an evening without!
