Recommended this restaurant by a couple we met while traveling north in Leon. We made a reservation that evening and are so glad we did! Loved the unique, relaxing decor and overall ambiance. I was planning on having the ossobucco but broke down when I discovered lasagna with aubergine was on the menu. DELISH! Service was attentive & friendly. Our... More

We were told of this restaurant by the concierge of our hotel. She said is a fancy place for a social dinner it was superb. Well presented, sabrosisima is what I'd say . It was obvious the owner spent time in fine dining establishments abroad. Out paid off! The decor, the aroma, the desserts! An excellent high end experience. Thank... More

I went here on my last day in Granada for a long lunch. It is a little bit out of the way but worth the 10 minute walk from the centre. Lovely relaxed vibe, excellent food and drink. It is expensive but Granada/Nicaraguan standards (still excellent value by UK/US standards)but more than justifies it with an excellent and distinctive menu... More

The first impression upon entering this place is that it was thought out and created to relax and enjoy unique dishes. In fact, the menu has some especially unique options, such as Lomo de Cerdo en Vigoron, the Thai Ossobuco or the Indochinese Meat Salad. They also offer some special veggie dishes. The care and efficiency with which they serve... More

We had dinner here. Good service, maybe a bit on the slow side, but so is all of Granada. :). Food was good, but not outstanding. We had an beetroot and goat cheese salad and then oxtail pasta (was ok, needed to ask for cheese) and a stew (cannot remember the exact name) which could have used more seasoning. Great... More

Enjoyed dinner in the garden-like back of the Restaurant. Service and food were of very high level and the concept based on local / organic Nicaraguan products is a role model that more places should adapt (all over the world). Would go again anytime.

I own a restaurant so of course a huge part of any trip is choosing where to eat. The Espressonista café was recommended to us by a chef at a resort we had stayed at before visiting Granada. When I typed it in google- all the wonderful reviews came up, including their website with their menu, and I was sold.... More

We had been recommended espressonista and it did not disappoint. The service was amazing, super friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was great too, relaxing and romantic. We shared the ceviche and rabbit pate to start and they were incredible! Would have gone two nights in a row if they weren't closed on Monday/Tuesday. Would definitely go back!

We have only had a few restaurant meals in Granada in our three days here, but we've come here twice. Two things are can't miss: The Ajo Blanco chilled soup is made from an almond milk, with a hint of garlic, a drizzle of olive oil, and many little chunks of watermelon. It is sublime. I can honestly say I've... More

Description
Modern environment in a neoclassical property constructed in 1886. We've forged a relationship with Nicaragua's best coffee producers to provide you with an excellent cup. High altitude, shade grown boutique crops yield coffees with a crisp and balanced acidity, roundness, sweetness and rich chocolate-like brews. These farmers know what they do. The poetry is ever intended at Espressonista. On your table we serve local, slightly smoked ham. The brie, the camembert and manchego are also from Masatepe and Matagalpa. Organic lettuce, baby asparagus and other greens from Ticuantepe. Chez nous, we know where everything comes from. We bake our own pastries and breads, make our own ice creams, brew our own beer. We love food, drink and good company. Join us!
