We recently had dinner at LCDO, which is only a couple of blocks from The Homestead. We had a late reservation. Prior to our scheduled time, the restaurant called to say that we could be seated earlier if we desired. That was very nice and...we went about 30 minutes early. LCDO is a small restaurant with a limited menu; however, everything we had was excellent. I enjoyed the onion soup and tomato salad. I rarely order chicken at restaurants but decided to do it based on some of the prior reviews. It was outstanding. Perfectly crisp and salty skin over moist and tender meat. The mushrooms and tomato accompanied it very well. My wife enjoyed her steak as well. Our server was very nice and efficient. Prices are on par with the quality of food. We look forward to returning. On another note, I enjoyed the owner responses to some of the negative reviews. They are some of the best I have read. It would make sense that a restaurant named for a pig wouldn't have much by way of vegetarian! It's nice to see a local business doing well.More

This restaurant lived up to all the positives we had read about them and none of the negatives. Thanks to the reviewer who praised the chicken entree as it was wonderful. We had a bottle of excellent wine from an equally excellent list that was...less in cost than we have paid elsewhere for similar quality, although one can spend three figures if one chooses. As we came on our wedding anniversary, we were compted our dessert, which was a nice touch. The staff was highly professional and it was clear to us that they are happy to be working there as opposed to the feelings of another reviewer. A wonderful part of a special night for us!More

My wife and I were celebrating our 43rd wedding anniversary with a trip to the Omni Homestead "resort". Unfortunately, the main dining room of this atrociously-managed "resort" is not open for dinner most days, and we couldn't get a table at any hour on July...8 in the other restaurant. So, out of necessity we booked a table at Les Cochons d'Or, about which we knew nothing. It's right across the street from the Homestead's indoor pool, so we walked over. The server who greeted us with "Happy Anniversary", Gabi, was an absolute delight. The food was creative and flawless, and at the end of the meal we were given the card seen here. Had we been able to eat at the Homestead, I'm sure we'd never have had any of these great things occur. Obviously, we recommend Les Cochons d'Or quite highly.More

Absolutely a wonderful experience. The food was innovative and delicious. All staff very knowledgeable and helpful. Special shout out to the owners and our server Matt who took care of the delicious cocktails as well. Truly a gracious, experienced server who went beyond to make...our meal memorable. In fact the experience was so enjoyable, my wife and I dined both nights while our stay at The Homestead!!More

Wow, wow wow! This is by far the best restaurant in Hot Springs and may be best French restaurant we have ever been. Had the Vichyssoise, sea scallops, asparagus salad, cucumber mint salad, barramundi, duck and creme brûlée and all were absurdly delicious. Cocktails and...wine were also noteworthy. Staff is equally amazing.More

The food was just okay, and the price was astronomical. This restaurant is within walking distance of the Omni Homestead, which means it's budgeted for those guests. If you're not staying at the Omni, skip this place. There was one vegetarian option and it was...all but tasteless. My friend's meal wasn't much better. There are other dining options in Warm Springs at half the price with better ambiance and better food. The service is terrific, the parking is convenient, but unless you enjoy throwing your money around needlessly, give this place a pass.More

Dear Chickenlover, We apologize that you didn't understand our concept. Our menu is priced the way that it should be for the quality & labor intensity of the products. We are called Les Cochons d'Or which stands for The Golden Pigs. It may indicate that...More

1 - the restaurant was filled with smoke from the kitchen and no explanation from owners or staff for 3/4 of our time there 2 - service by one of the owners was astoundingly unfriendly for a service oriented business - no conversation, no smiles...3 - all service staff wore masks except for the owner and other owner/chef - confusing 4 - little to no flexibility in offerings or menu options for dietary needs/restrictions 5- courses are extremely small and overpriced - which is understandable as the going fashion, but difficult to accept for this area 6- wine and cocktails were fun and great 7- no one seems to be having a great time working here, then we learned about high turnover rates and can only surmise that the staff is being treated about how customers are... Loosen up, it's Bath County, have a little fun with your restaurant and guests will want to come back.More

O!! M!! G!! Seriously, there was so much that we enjoyed about LCD!! Their wine list is interesting and I thought it was perfectly put together! (Of course tho, as they have a couple of Somms running their restaurants!) The staff is trained quite nicely...to make decent wine recommendations too, which I appreciate! Their cocktail list is fabulous and executed so nicely that we decided to come back the next night for drinks, even though we had dinner reservations elsewhere. They even offer a nice half bottle of Champagne to start your special evening off right!! First course – Scallop – This was one of the BEST scallop dishes I’ve EVER HAD!! Perfect in every way and the black rice was delightful!! French Onion Soup was one of the BEST I’VE EVER HAD!! I thoroughly enjoyed it!!! Second Course – We decided to try their Yakatori Chicken… it was good, but the flavor of the skin was slightly too prevalent over the Japanese flavors that were to be imparted in the dish. Temp was great though, definitely nice and tender. Third course – Beef Deckle was one of the BEST beef dishes I’ve EVER HAD!!! Their preparation of each part of it was outstanding! The beef as perfectly prepared, but the mashed potatoes were unbelievably tasty and rich!! The grilled leek made a nice touch to accompany this dish as well. I enjoyed taking a small piece of leek along with each bite of beef – AWESOME!! The salmon was excellent as well Lastly… Their Table bread was excellent! An assortment of amazingly fresh breads with a perfectly slated butter – YUM! And their panna cotta was just the perfect way to conclude such an amazing dining experience… we loved it! Service was great and the place is quaint and nicely decorated… We loved this experience so much, that we’ll definitely return when back in the area!More

This tiny restaurant is a great surprise in this little town. Our waitress was so professional and helpful. I got the mushroom main dish and had them add the fresh truffle shavings to it. I thought is was excellent. My husband had the swordfish which...was outstanding. A little strange not to bring bread/butter to the table since they’re a French restaurant; however, I did see you could purchase a bread service appetizer. The Creme brûlée was good, but wasn’t great. However, the experience was very nice and we really enjoyed it.More

We read the reviews on this restaurant and were looking forward to an exceptional meal. Sadly, we were disappointed. The service was excellent but the food was lacking. The chefs have the menu to work with yet they lack the imagination to take it the...next level or any level. We ordered the white asparagus soup which was very good but a touch of cinnamon might have really bumped the taste up a level. Our bread came out cold and pretty much tasteless except for the little corn muffins. No excuse for that. Like wise the duck with sweet potato purée we ordered was just plain dull and looked dull. The plate was all brown with no color to make it pleasing to the eye. The sweet potato was tasteless where as just a little brown sugar and cinnamon might done the trick. The duck was salty to point that it was hard to eat. We had the pouched pear with pear ice cream for dessert. Again good but just missing something. It’s a shame, the potential is there but some one in the kitchen needs to taste test the food to get it where it should be. For the price, not cheap, they should do better.More
