Apart from it’s beautiful location and beautiful decor, the staff and service were very good and the food really exceptionally so! After eating here we recommended it on social media and friends have already booked their birthday treat here. Well worth it.

Following a day at the repair shop, Weald and Downland Living museum we drove to our chosen accommodation for the night. On arrival we were met by a stunning building sitting nicely in its location. Things improved if that was possible at book in where...the lady we spoke to knew who we were and showed us to our room Teal. What a fantastic room, just right with everything you need, nothing over done, all the décor was perfect and in keeping with its theme. The ensuite was special and to top it all a copper roll top bath sat proudly as the main feature and may I say a very nice soak was taken by my wife and I, perfect. Evening meal was fantastic with compliments to the chef, everything cooked to perfection. Following a great nights sleep down for breakfast and this again did not disappoint, Full English as it should be well cooked and enough to fill but not overfill, again compliments to the chef everything just perfect. Would recommend at the drop of a hat and will be staying again when going to Goodwood, if possible as I feel it may be a popular choice among the knowledgeable. Thank you White Horse.More

Came here for a drink during the festive period. Was served by Alesha who made one of the best espresso martinis I've ever had the pleasure of drinking in my life! Perfectly balanced, expertly crafted, made with love. The pub itself is beautiful, well managed...and very welcoming. By far the best in the area. 100% recommend. Sam and Sarah are wonderful landlords. Having sampled most of the local watering holes I can definitely say that The White Horse is the best pub for miles around.More

Especially lovely in winter with real log fire, decor mainly wood and not the modern hotel pastiche of colours and lovely staff.

This was for my 60th birthday lunch, we had a lovely table in our own area, everything was as ordered, the service was impeccable and the food gorgeous. Nothing was too much trouble. My friends were able to decorate the table beforehand and we could...not have been made more welcome. I would absolutely recommend to anyone else whether a special occasion or not. Really lovely pub but would only visit again for a drink as the food is over priced with small portions. The quality of the food is very high but not enough to fill a child let alone an adult, on one dish only I must...add. Service was slow, it was not busy enough to warrant this so that was unfortunate.More
