Had an ok barley soup and ok Reuben sandwich. I have had better for the price of $21.00 with an ice tea. Too much strain on the wallet for my taste and not a good choice if you are on a budget.

Just what exactly is a Matzo Ball anyway? I'm not entirely sure, but the Matzo Ball Soup at Celebrity Delly in Falls Church is delicious. And so is the Chopped Liver, Tuna Melt, Reuben and other classics that you would find in New York delis such as Katz's. Try the potato or meat knishes, or Momma's stuffed cabbage. They are... More
Office is nearby - we get a group and enjoy the Delly once a week. Great under $10 soup or salad and half sandwich special every day. Easy to overeat if you order one of the gourmet sandwiches. Sharing works, something you can't do in New York Deli's. Full range of good Delly meats including Pastrami and Corned Beef. Healthy... More
Been eating here a few times while in the area on business. Years ago, I had many a meal at their Rockville location. Anyway, this is one of the few remaining "old school" deli's that have a family feel when you visit. The food is great and the service, on point.... Makes me remember similar places I ate at growing... More
Went there today which may be my last time. Been going for decades. Always a decent sandwich with hit or miss service. Liked the revamped menu from a year ago. I ordered a reuben with two sides and an iced-T. bill came to $22.50 before tip. The took away the $2.99 for two sides with a sandwich and raised the... More
I was in town with several work colleagues and our meeting ran long - too late for lunch and too early for dinner. One thing led to another and we ended up in a shopping plaza at the Celebrity Delly. We were greeted by a loud, amusing, host/waiter who seated us and gave us a rundown on every menu item.... More
This is one of the few delis in the DC area, certainly in the Virginia suburbs, that actually has some of the dishes you'd look for in a real deli in New York. Good chopped liver, for example, and pretty good kosher-style pickles. Good Reuben sandwich. Good lox. Dr. Brown's sodas. Also good Maryland crab soup, definitely NOT something you'd... More
This little deli is not much to look at but has great food and a well trained wait staff. We were seated promptly and greeted by our server. She was well versed in the menu selections and was able to advise us on choices. I had the Ruben which is my fall back choice in a deli. It was as... More
The corned beef here is among the best in the area. Very tender and lean, too. The Reuben was "nice", but a better grade of Russian dressing would have made a difference. This is one of 2 places I go since the demise of Carnegie's (in Tysons) years ago.
It is hard to travel when you have to eat gluten free and other people are tired of the same old diners. This deli had everything and they can make your sandwiches with GF bread. Of course you are goiing to have a little contamination but it is worth it. The sandwiches are so huge you do not need to... More
