We can't speak to the authenticity of the food, but the restaurant seemed to be filled with people who could. We came just after noon on a Saturday and got seated immediately. Twenty minutes later, there were a bunch of people waiting for tables. Service was friendly, but spotty given the crowd. A saltena (first we encountered) was tasty. Other dishes were HUGE, and there was way more food than we could eat. One dish came with three kinds of potatoes, all a bit different to us, and all were good. An ear of corn and a plaintain were not to our taste. A steak with all the fixings was good and cooked to order. The pork in Lechon was a bit dry but quite edible. Soups on the menu looked interesting, and we will try them next time.

The server was very nice and welcoming, and the food was fresh and good. Don't come here expecting spicy Mexican food. Bolivian food is more subtle and heavy on the animal proteins and starch. There's a hot sauce on the side you can spoon on as desired. I had the enrollado, and my husband had some type of beef sandwich. We also tried the peach drink (delicious!). Everything was tasty and well prepared, especially the breads. This is a nice, no-frills family restaurant, good for people who want a pile of comfort food with no fuss. All the people working there seemed warm and happy to be there. We'll be back!

Start with the positive, good service, friendly staff and willing to help. The portions are generous. Few of the items we picked were not available. My tacos were good. Maybe we didn't order the right food

Randomly selected a restaurant from the Washingtonian Cheap Eats and was incredibly surprised at just how good it was! Be sure to try the Saltenas for an appetizer and the Lomo Montado, just be ready to eat a ton of great food. I will surely be coming back here and bringing my friends also.

I was going to eat at a Ramen place just up the street from Luzmary, but it was closed. Disappointed, I started driving back to my hotel and right where I was about to turn left, I came across this Bolivian restaurant. I never tried Bolivian food before, so I figured I would give it a chance. Upon walking in, a large group of Bolivians are watching the Super Bowl, and after seating myself, I asked the server what his recommendations were, and he suggested I try "Lomo con Chorrellana". And I did. It was very good! But looking at the large group's table, I noticed almost everybody is eating this type of turnover, and I looked on the menu and it was a "Salteña", and I ordered one... DELICIOUS! It's a must if you try Bolivian food, you will not go wrong with a Salteña. It's got an interesting sweet and sour flavor, which I really like!

Went there a couple months ago and had a terrible meal. Ordered a pork sandwich. The meat was mostly inedible gristle. Have not gone back.

I decided to try try this place as it was near to my hotel. when I arrived Iwas greeted cordially. I ordered chicken to dine in. Chicken was delicious and juicy tender, the stuffing was tasty with the crust sweet and veggies . Would definitely recommend to try the place. I think I will go back to try other entrees.

My wife and daughter are both from La Paz Bolivia. We use to go to Luzmila but when it was bought by a new owner the food went way downhill. We were so happy when Luzmary opened. Having eaten in at least 4 other Bolivian places, this place is hands down the best. Easily the best Saltenas in the area. But, it doesn't stop there. All the food here is amazing and the servings are huge. I always get the Milanesa de Pollo as it is my favorite. And it is cooked to perfection. My wife always gets the Lapping which is steak. I always have to steal a bite or two as it is seasoned perfectly. Do yourself a favor and stop in and try the best Bolivian food in the area. You will not be disappointed.

Bolivian cooking is offered at Luzmary. That means hearty dishes with plenty of meat but light or no seasoning. We had silpancho, which consists of a large slab of sliced beef over lots of rice and some vegetables. It's tasty enough but lacks strong flavor. We also had a fired pork dish which should satisfy any pork lover. An enormous amount of pork is served in this dish. Both meat dishes seemed to lack any seasoning, a shortcoming for me but not necessarily for those who enjoy straight-out good tasting beef and pork. These dishes are offered in the $13 to $14 range and are a bargain when the large serving of meat is considered. You will need a doggy bag for the delicious leftovers! Best of all were the saltenas, a signature Bolivian food I understand, which is in the pasty and piroghi tradition. It is a somewhat sweet bread which encloses several meats, including chicken, and vegetables. At $2.75 per item, the saltenas make for an excellent appetizer. The bread taste is as sweet as a dessert but the taste really grows on you. One could well order several saltenas as the main dish! Bolivian beer is offered at a modest price and tastes very good. The restaurant location is in a half-gentrified section of Falls Church City on Lee Highway and offers abundant parking. The restaurant interior is quite plain - nothing fancy here but it's also very clean. Service is attentive. This "ethnic" restaurant (they offer only Bolivian dishes) definitely has the seal of approval from the relevant ethnic group. Bolivians of all ages filled the place when we dined there so it seems that authentic Bolivian cuisine is offered here.

We have eaten there three times. The first two we had the tacos. Excellent, but they are Bolivian, not Mexican. No cheese. Includes avocado. Tonight my wife got a soup which was excellent. Had beef short ribs in it. I got the fajitas mixtas which had beef, chicken and shrimp, along with green pepper and onion. Very tasty. Served with a plate with a ton of rice and black beans. Three tortillas. However, very, very oily. At least a quarter inch of oil on the platter.
