As part of the Great America restaurant chain, Sweetwater Tavern won't disappoint. The service is great, and the steaks are top cuts-perfectly cooked. It can get a bit crowded during dinner time but the wait is well worth it. Highly recommended.

Although I go there more often with adult friends, the atmosphere is very kid-friendly, prices are reasonable and food is always good. Great last-minute place to eat as well.

This is one of my daughter's favorite restaurants, so we have been there numerous times over the years. The food is always good and consistent across visits and the service is always very good. It can get loud during rush when the place is full, but not so much that you can't still carry on a conversation.

We like to do call ahead reservations for this busy restaurant. Food is good and consistent. I love their salads and penna pasta with beef tips.

I was holding off to review this because its a chain, but its food is constantly good, and for that (and the beer) I keep coming back. The parent company and sister restaurants are all very good too. The wood grilled filet mignon was great this time, and perfectly medium.

Local Virginia chain featuring lots of beers and new American style cuisine. Looks like a bigTexas barn style place with a bar in the middle and many booths around the periphery. The closest to wheat beer they had was Witts end but we tried Yellow Devil and New Brew. Good soups each day. We had lobster bisque ($7) and portobella... More

Very busy restaurant/bar at 500 pm. Three of us had steak fajitas-very good, 4th had Jambalaya, also very good. Great selection on the menu. Some mixup by our server, Becky A., but made up for it with three free desserts. Overall, a treaty casual dining experience. Hope to return.

After a wonderful day exploring and walking the Civil War battlefields nearby, our family of 9 (ages 8-grandparents) sought a relaxing lunch with good flavors, good service and good seating. Sweetwater Tavern provided all three plus an array of IPA's to whet the appetite! Enjoy with friends or family alike.

Sweetwater rarely disappoints. In past visits, my only real complaint was that at times it seemed that all of the drafts were overly hoppy - not to my taste. That has been resolved with the addition of new taps. We were pleasantly surprised to find ten drafts on tap, giving us a good variety of choices. Food was first rate,... More

Food was delicious and cooked to perfection. Amazing chips and dips as well as fajitas. The complementary bread is also phenomenal. The portions were huge and the waiters offered to pack them even before asking. Great service and vibe overall. Prices are a little pricey, but definitely worth the cost.
