We have eaten breakfast here in the past and thought it quite good, but this last visit didn't live up to our expectations. We waited at least 1/2 hour to be served. All of our breakfasts were just so-so. I like scrapple but this had been deep fried to a piece of shoe leather. What has changed?

Rayfields is a combined soda fountain, cafe, pharmacy. It is very popular with the locals for a good place to get a decent meal in a friendly casual atmosphere. They have typical fountain food and drinks, but also very good ice cream/floats etc. Good place for a quick lunch or breakfast.

When you walk into Rayfields, you'd never believe they have that genuine old school soda fountain feel. My family and I live in town and this gives you a real taste of the Eastern Shore ambiance. Breakfasts are inexpensive and the service is friendly.

Excellent sandwiches at an authentic Soda Bar like you see in movies from the 1940s and 1950s. I like to sit at the counter to watch the cook prepare the meals. Highly recommend Rayfield's.

You may have been to several pharmacies before, but Rayfield's isn't CVS or Rite Aid. It's a historic little gem that makes you feel like the bygone days of soda fountains and breakfast with a friend. Delicious breakfast sandwiches and a whole lot more. Very friendly folks too.

Great break and lunches. Make sure you try the breakfast omelets. The big breakfast is enough to forget about eating lunch

When I stopped in on a Tuesday morning, I think it was the only breakfast place in town that was open. Friendly counter service for standard breakfast offerings....but slow. The single short-order cook was doing the best she could. Every seat was filled, with others waiting. Breakfast service stopped promptly at 10:30 am, leaving some disappointed. Food was fresh and... Outside the door when they opened @ 8 along w/ 4 other couples who were locals. I had a la carte 1 (lg) sweet potato pancake ($1.49) a side of crispy bacon (4 pieces/$1.89) and coffee. Don't expect fancy dinnerware or real maple syrup. He had a breakfast sandwich of bisquit, fried egg and a thick crispy piece of scrapple.... More

What a quaint charming place - serving breakfast and lunch. Wish they had longer hours - closing at 3:00. Food is great!
