Tough to find (it's next to the auto parts store) and bizarre hours (weekdays 11:30 to 3:00) but best burrito I've had in a long time. Serving size was large to say the least. I would be two meals for many people. Grab a beer from Craft Beer Cellar and enjoy a picnic!

A hole-in-the-wall, Monday-Friday (for now*), lunchtime, mostly-carry-out place for Mexican-- mostly burritos and soft tacos. The two of us had two humongous burritos and two canned sodas for a little over $15 apiece. Each burrito was custom-made and quite delicious. I'm glad I got the picante sauce "on-the-side". *Proprietor Fred said they were planning to add restrooms so they'll be... More

We searched out this place because of the raves by TripAdvisor reviewers. We know Waterbury reasonably well after have been there over a 30+ year period. And I still went by this place three times before I realized I was right in front of it. A sign outside certainly would have helped. The personable owner assured me he had one... More

As mentioned, Aztlan is hidden off a tiny side street, off South Main Street in Waterbury. Find Foundry Street, go to the end and you'll find Aztlan. You will never believe such an unassuming location houses such incredible Mexican food. I've eaten everything on the menu, all great. Top shelf ingredients and delicious flavors all around. Usually I have one... More

Excellent food! I make it a weekly stop and you should too! Small but so worth it.. and enjoy the outdoor seating or take it to go and eat in the Park.

Love this place. Hard to find if you haven't been before. Definitely a great place to grab some lunch and enjoy the beautiful weather. Best burrito anywhere in the northeast!

Go left on Bidwell and right to find this location at 44 Foundry. Worth finding! Made to order burritos and bowls. And serious spice for anyone who want to bring it on. Frozen burritos to go, too. Worth a stop!

Great Rice and Bean burrito with a side of the El Bombero which will punch you in the face but enhances the delicious taste of the burritos here. Simple hidden lunch spot for local but surprisingly very good authentic Tex Mex....

We did not really believe the reviews, but figured we'd pick up some burritos on our way out of town. We ate them 3.5 hours later, which really wasn't fair to the cook. But they were still excellent. A little hard to find and quirky hours. But if you are in Waterbury at lunchtime weekdays, track it down and take... More
