Great bar and after ski food at Matterhorn. It was pretty crowded just after the lifts close but was not overwhelming and the service mostly kept up. Nothing that we had was spectacular but there is plenty of variety and nothing that we had was bad. Nice location and video games to entertain the kids.

Readers of USA rated this number 1 in North America. I see why. Locals and millionaires hanging together. Great draft beer. Great staff. Great food. Try the wings - cooked in the brink oven. Ambiance you can only find in a place that's been around since lace ski boot and cable bindings. And a river outside the back.

Came here to see Dueling Pianos while on a ski trip in Stowe. The place was slammed but the service was still excellent. Crab rangoons and edamame were out of this world delicious. Love the beer from local brewer Von Trapp Brewing. Def stop in for a drink if you're in town!

Locals suggested we try this restaurant/bar for dinner. It is not impressive from the outside, but it is surprisingly good once inside. It has a casual pub atmosphere. There is a lively bar scene and live music on weekends. There are two pool tables that are busy and several video games. They have a great selection of local beers. The... More

Great selection of local brews, the soup was delicious as well. I had the cod tacos which were nice and light tasting. Probably the best and closest bar to the resort which is great if you don't want to fight with the crowds at the resort. Bartender was pretty cool also.

We spent the late afternoon and early evening here with friends. The place was packed at 4:30!! There was live music and great atmosphere! There were pool tables and an arcade area to keep kids occupied. Our waiter was amazing - kept the drinks and food coming! The pizza was great, as were the chicken quesadilla. It was a great... Good vibe, nice crowd. Not too rowdy but fun. There was a band playing Friday so we paid a $5 cover charge. Food was hit or miss. The burrata salad wasn't good at all, but the cheesesteak hit the spot. Many good microbrews on tap. We'll definitely go back next time we are in Stowe.

Came here with hubby to get some good ol pub food ~ buffalo chicken wings and pizza was perfect . I ate most of the buffalo chicken wings , not your typical gooey sauce buffalo wings which I prefer. Apparently this is a popular apres ski place. Sells popular Vermont microbrews.

It's not easy to do it all and maybe that's what was going on. Was in with a party of 10 - 12 and we ordered everything from Sushi to Sliders. I split up a dish and had some maki rolls and they were good. Didn't rock my world, but they were solid. One member of the party picked out... More

Hi Neil, It is undeniable that The Matterhorn has one of the top sushi chefs in the Northeast. He graduated from The South Korean Traditional cooking school and improved his sushi skills working in Japan, Russia, Germany and The UAE. He was the top sushi chef at Neta's ( rival of Nobu's) in NYC when we hired him. Obviously a chef of his skills will only work in a profeshional kitchen with top ingredients. Our pizzas are made from scratch and cooked in a wood fired oven the way they do it in Italy. We wouldn't even consider a convection oven. Our wings might be the best in the USA. Our steaks and burgers are all angus beef. My wife personally expedited all the food yesterday which feed over 600 customers. None of it took longer than 25 minutes. Our servers are the most highly paid in Stowe so we get the cream of the crop. I have owned The Matterhorn 17 years and we have always had a modest cover charge whenever we have a full band. We have a season pass to our live entertainment which costs $25 so that you will not have to pay any cover charges. We believe that establishments that don't charge covers for full bands or give away food are really just pleading to get customers in and embarrass themselves in our business community. . We have Greg Allman's son Michael performing here on Jan 16th along with Grammy award wining Charles Neville and award winning guitartist Jeff Pitchell. I can assure you that my wife and I couldn't be more proud of how The Matterhorn has evolved and of all the great people that frequent it. We find your comments both unfounded and hurtful.
