The salmon entree I ordered was perfectly prepared in every respect and the service friendly and efficient. We were served in the back room which appeared to have a quieter atmosphere than the first room we encountered.

We were a party of three who were visiting the area for a day and we walked in without reservations. They seated us quickly, apologizing for the high noise level from a large party seated close to us. The service was first class--friendly, fast and professional. One in our party had chicken, another gnocchi, and the third had their soup... More

we had six people in our group for lunch after Dartmouth's graduation. The lunch was a prix fixe menu. The food was okay, nothing special as we were led to believe it would be but also not bad but certainly NOT worth the final $600.00 bill! It was a total rip-off. And it wasn't inflated by alcohol: only two drinks,... More

Food and service is first class, though over priced. The atmosphere is nice and the food is well prepared and chef level inspired.

This is a small, vintage Vermont restaurant. Our waitress was very friendly and our dinners were tasty. The service was prompt.

After getting a local's recommendation we decided to try this restaurant. The service was phenominal but two issues with the food could not be ignored and we had to say something about it. My wife and I like seasoned food but three of our menu items were very heavily salted to the point of not being edible. The hamburger, fries... More

this restaurant is in an attractive old building with a number of small dining rooms. if noise level is an issue for you, have dinner early. old building usually = low ceilings and this is not exception. the acoustics were very problematic for us. my wife had charcuterie for an appetizer which offered three tastings, a good, a fair and... I've lived in the Upper Valley fourteen years, making me a relative newcomer. This restaurant is on its third chef / manager -- not only my favorite at this location, but perhaps my favorite eating establishment in an area filled with excellent competition. The duck confit is to die for: always perfectly crispy. Don't miss out on the homemade ice... More

We had an ok dinner here, after driving to Hanover first, not knowing it was homecoming at Dartmouth. Menu, good choices. Our dinner, ok, not great. Service was accomodating, considering there was a crowd. Would suggest asking for a seat in the dining room rather than the bar, where we sat, as it was crowded and noisy. Restaurant not very... We enjoyed the food and ambiance, the waitress was fun but it took an hour between walking through the door to our food arriving. The surf on the surf and turf was cold too! The people on the next table left before their desert arrived. I don't know if this was a one off but the glacial service rather spoiled... More
