There are no set "hours" for service, so I had to wait a while when I got into town for a resupply. I was doing an LT YOYO in June and July of this year. The wait was totally worth it. I met a couple...of the snack bar's regulars while I was waiting. Paddy showed up and immediately offered me a hammock. No thanks, I came here to chow down! Her associate told me the shake I ordered would probably be the best I ever had, and she wasn't full of hot air. Very satisfying steak hoagie, shake, and sweet potato fries. People are far more likely to leave a review if they have a bad experience, so don't let the few poor reviews dissuade you from giving this place a try--especially if you're a hungry hiker in dire need of sustenance. Paddy was very accommodating, and I left having eaten too much too fast.More

My husband and I and a couple friends were on a motorcycle ride and decided to stop here for dinner after reading a really favorable review online about the excellent seafood at Paddie's Snack Bar. The review was spot on and we were not disappointed....When we arrived, they were closing early because it had been a slow night, but while we started to discuss our other eating options, they decided to serve us after all. The seafood chowder was very flavorful and creamy. The fried shrimp and scallops were very fresh, and not small and tiny like some seafood places serve. Yummy coleslaw, tons of dessert choices, something for everyone really. And Pam and Paddie were so nice and personable. I highly recommend it!More

I know some reviewers think the owner is friendly, but like some others I found her to be "mean", I'll-tempered, and profane for no apparent reason. Odd for someone who is running a food business that depends on an inviting atmosphere and good will. After...interacting with the owner at the order window I was so upset and put off that I left. This really is a place to avoid unless you have no other choice.More

My husband and I and our, always welcomed, three little dogs spend a ton of our time at Paddies and we live in Rhode Island. The no hurry atmosphere is a welcome change from the fast paced living in RI. The food is always the...freshest around and we are never disappointed that we spent our hard earned money on it, which is often the case at other nearby establishments. As I am writing this review I am craving a Paddie burger.More

The elderly woman who runs this establishment is, literally, the meanest, nastiest most abusive person I have ever encountered in any sort of restaurant service experience. I don't even know where to begin. The food actually wasn't totally horrible. But I was treated with such...hostility before, during and after eating on Paddie's fly-infested porch that I couldn't even digest it. You know how some places really put love into their food? Paddie's seems to put hate into their food. Do yourself a favor: Eat in Canada or anywhere else than Paddie's.More

These two ladies can be moody so take it with a grain of salt. The whole belly clams are worth the attitude if you catch them on a bad day. Great tarter sauce and the cheeses biscuit is always tasty. If there was a 3.5...star I would tag it.More

My girlfriend and I have eaten here a few times recently but not anymore. I manage deliveries for a business in derby, vt and today I turned around in her parking lot with my box truck, and made a brief phone call because I don't...talk and drive hadn't been there but 20 secs and I get yelled and sworn at to get off her property immediately In so many words. As if it was a big deal to turn around, was no sign that said no turnarounds or posted signs and no cars where in the lot, its not like I was taking up parking spaces. Absolutely disgusting way to act towards a working person and run a business. My passenger and I were about to grab something to eat too glad we didn't because that kind of behavior is ridiculous from a business ownerMore

Who would guess to find such a treasure in remote little North Troy?! We usually dig into the scallops - so fresh and tasty. Sweet potato fries are also a staple and favourite. Paddie's special connection with fresh Maine seafood deliveries makes her place very...attractive. We even know a couple who have celebrated their wedding anniversary there! Don't underestimate the cover of this gem.More

Ipswich clams at a little snack bar. Outdoor seating is the perfect dining experience for a wide spectrum of dishes locals probably take for granted but for a southern boy they were exotic. Talking with Paddie was great. I'm coming back. Ate too much to...enjoy the classic ice cream sundae. Next time I'm pacing myself.More

I occasionnally cycle with friends in the North Troy area and when I do I make a point of stopping at Paddy’s. You could easily pass by the little unassuming white cabin but it is the best spot in the area for a quick bite...and surprisingly the menu has a lot to offer. This is New England so there is lots of seafood: clam chowder, fried clams, butterfly shrimp etc. One of my cycling buddies had the lobster roll which he proclaimed was the best he had ever had. There are the usual favorites too such as burgers and sandwiches but they all have that special Paddy’s touch. And there’s good news for vegetarians — there are usually a few meatless offerings on the menu — this last time I had a great veggie burger with sweet potato fries. For the sweet tooths there are Paddy’s home baked pies (strawberry-rhubarb, blueberry and butterscotch for example) and a large assortment of ice cream deserts including a Vermont Maple syrup sundae! I look forward to my next trip in the area!More

I moved to North Troy in May to open a business called Journey's Salon & Guest House. While on a walk exploring the area I stumbled upon Paddies. They had just closed but served me up a piece of pie that was totally made with...love. (Pam) I could taste it. Patty and Pam are great, two of the nicest women I have met in North Troy. I will definitely go back and will refer guest's that stay at my establishment.More
