Historical quaint, cozy, quintessential New England inn. Beautiful history here. Ambience like this cannot be re-created. But I believe that those things are its strongest feature. We've dined a few times over the years. Service is brisk yet attentive. Wine selection is limited as arevthe craft beer choices which is surprising for Vermont. Although we felt that everything we had... More

Thank you for dining with us and providing your feedback. While I am pleased that the service was attentive and you enjoyed the historic atmosphere of our Tavern, it is unfortunate that you felt that some of the entree portions were small and the beer and wine selections were lacking. I disagree with many of your observations. We believe that... More

We went to the Olde Tavern on a Sunday night for dinner and had a very enjoyable meal. The setting is special because the building has been a tavern for a very long time dating back to the 1700's with a lovely fireplace for warmth and atmosphere. I had the Pot Roast which was very good, they have a menu... More

This old tavern is a great place to eat. Would call the day before to make a reservation as I was lucky to get the last p seat at the bar which is very small. Very good food. The old tavern atmosphere makes it a great place to eat.

Beautiful old tavern. Good food and good service. Great location just past the outlet shops. I would recommend making reservations.

Had a candlelit dinner there. Lovely old interior, as the name tavern suggests. Tasty food. Chicken pot pie with a potato crust was just what I wanted on a cool autumn night. Staff was nicely attentive without being too fussy. They knew when to approach you, which I am sure is hard to get right. I would highly recommend this... More

Of all the places to dine in Manchester, my wife picked this for her birthday dinner. They have a fixed price menu from 5 through 5:59 pm with many options to choose from. It's ambience is colonial with a quaint bar in the dining area that seats 4. We arrived earlier than our 5 O'clock reservation so we could have... More

My friend and I agonized where we should spend our one and only dinner in Manchester. After reviewing trip advisor, comments, ratings I went to menu. Found a very tempting veal dish so decided to go. What do you know they we're all out of it at 7pm hmmmm or just replaced it with a venison special. I ordered it... More

Loved the place. Really charming with bags of character and history. The food was hearty if a little too much portion wise for us. Worth a visit for the atmos alone tho.

What a cool piece of history. Atmosphere is really special, like taking a trip back to the 1700's. Service was attentive. Food was very good, with touches of excellence. Cranberry fritters with honey butter were to die for. Filet mignon with bernaise was perfect. I went off script and tried the chicken pot pie. It wasn't bad, but definitely nothing... More
